Tenuta Espada Apartments

Well what can we say... what a fabulous place! The reviews and photos on the internet do not do it justice! The grounds are stunning with grassy areas and beautiful flowers and the apartments each have an outside area where you can relax with a drink! The room is spacious (we managed to have loads of space even with a 3 yr old!) and has all the things you need to cook a basic meal, which was important for us travelling with a little one! The staff are incredible... so friendly and welcoming, it's like they are welcoming you home! Francesco and Lucia were always there at breakfast offering you all sorts of freshly baked treats and fresh juices and fresh coffee! The poolside was lovely, with just a few other families in the height of summer- it was tranquil and perfect for us to relax and our son to play without the overwhelming busyness of a large resort. It's a short drive to some beautiful beaches in Gallipoli and about a 30 min drive from some of the worlds best beaches in Porto Cesareo and Torre Lapillo. Also a supermarket is a few mins drive which stocks everything you could ever need! We have travelled a huge amount all over the world and have never come across such a friendly, beautiful place that has exceeded our expectations. Our 3yr old still talks about breakfast everyday and wants to go back! Thanks to the staff for making our visit truly one of the best holidays we have had! We shall come back one day for sure!
