We organised my mother’s birthday in this nice bed & breakfast. We invited some friends for lunch and spent a lovely day surrounded by nature. The location is amazing, 1h by train from Rome, close to Soratte Mountain, the landscape is hilly and green and the weather is not as hot as the capital. We had a very nice meal, all cooked by Francesco, the host of the mansion; he is a very good chef as well as a very nice person! He took us and our friend from the station (Sant’Oreste station) just 5 minutes by car to his house. He is a genuine, passionate person that left his flat in Rome city centre to go back to the countryside he was born in. He’s got his plants and his animals, so everything he prepares in his kitchen is made with natural ingredients. He has his oil, his vine, his honey, his grappa, his fruit! And everything tasted just amazing! We really enjoyed the experience and my mother’s friends were very happy about everything. I will definitely consider this place for a future celebration or just to escape the city for the weekend.
