My wife wrote the review below but I want to add my two cents. This was the best place we stayed on this trip. And we learned that Trip Advisor, as good as it is, is not the be all and end all. We stayed here because we know the area and because of the reviews on booking.com, which rated it 9.7. One has to go to many sites to find the perfect place to stay for what you want, and this was perfect for us.

The best

Nestled in the center of the Piemonte wine country and easily accessible to each of the many hill towns, is this little jewel of a villa. Renovated in the last ten years, but full of beautiful antiques, hand painted ceilings, and tile floors from an ancient church, this  setting gave us relaxation as well as a feeling of old Italy. Our hosts, who live less than a kilometer away, prepared breakfast and took care of the property while we shared the villa with 3 other rooms, each with a small deck. The swimming pool was new as well as all the furniture around it, and looked over the entire valley. You will need a car but it is easy to manipulate the country roads and stay off the highways if you want.
