We found Aba Village through the truly exellent booking firm SiToscana and expected good quality as always. And we were not disappointed. Four families (18 persons) had a very nice stay in the apartments in Puntone. The apartments were  spacious and seemingly quite new. And importantly enough - the air condition were truly excellent - both in the two bedrooms and in the kitchen/sitting room. We would've liked an additional couch in the sitting room area as we were five, but that's not a big deal. Some of the apartments had a view of the Tuscany countryside, but sadly not ours. We got one set of bath towels and we had to wash them ourselves. Luckily there was a washing machine on the premises which we could use for a small fee.

The areas outside were clean, with a very well kept garden and pool area. Free parking and helpful people running the place - although only a couple of them spoke decent English. A bit difficult when you want to discuss particular issues - amongst others some problems with tiny ants in the apartment, which the personel to be fair were very hands on to get to grips with, and the payment at the end of our stay. On the day of our departure, the internet were down and we couldn't get to pay the normal way. But we got there in the end, and the personell were very regretful that the net were down and causing trouble. At the reception you could buy ice cream and in the neighbouring establishment a few feet away, there is a restaurant.

Aba Village is situated only a few houndred meters from the little town Puntone, were you can find a couple of restaurants and a shop. A few houndred meters further away there's the port of Scarlino, With a lot of shops, bars and restaurants. And only a few kilometers, the city of Follonica can offer more of the same - including a very impressing beach and a nice city centre. 

All in all a very good place to vacate for both families and couples. Although its a few apartments in Aba Village, the place never felt crowded. And it was nice and quiet all the way. And the area around is perfect for day trips by car.

Nice place to vacate for the extended family

We booked 2 apartments in September for a large group. The place is easy to find if you have sat nav. Aba Village was almost empty when we were there so we had swimming pool to ourselves for majority of our stay. I would advise to have a car if you planning staying there. Rooms were clean and spacious. Swimming pool was cleaned regularly and there was enough sun loungers for everyone. There's an excellent restaurant near by ( walking distance) called "Mama", we were dining there every night and carafe of house white wine is just perfect and not too pricey. Thank you Aba Village for your patience and fantastic stay.

ABA VILLAGE

We booked two apartments in May for my inlaws and our family (with children aged 7 and 9).  The apartments were next to each other on the main floor.   They were clean and everything was in good working order.   Booking on-line and check in were fine, although arranging the bank transfer was quite tricky, and the price was adjusted several times (in our favour).   

Upon arrival, we discovered (with disappointment) that the pool was not working or ready for the season.  This would have been nice to know in advance and was disappointing for my children and myself.  There are three restaurants close in town (more further afield).  

It is important to note that the apartment we were in (as well as my in-laws) was lacking in items.  We ended up buying a 12 euro toaster for our stay.  Two of the gas burners in our apartment were not working, the TV was not working at all, and there was no wifi (although available if you sat on the bench outside reception).  We were told they were in the process of installing the Wifi in the rooms.

Overall though, the apartment was clean, well priced and in a good location (although a car is needed to stay here).

Clean accommodation in Tuscany

We, a family of 5 (3 daughters 17-15-13 years) stayed 2 weeks at ABA Village. 
The apartment is simple, basic furnished, but since it is quit new and clean it was fine. 
You will hear some noise (sliding chairs etc) from neighbors left + right + below/on top. 
Kitchen equipment is minimal, Wifi available,….but not in your apartment; you’ll have to go to special place behind reception. Doable, but not what you would expect in 2014. 
Our main disappointment was that on the site is mentioned that seaside is in 500 mtrs. 
Basically (as the crow flies) this is more or less correct, but there is no road/path where you can walk on safely! And furthermore…arriving at this point you have rocks and a harbor. No place to lay your towel! 
You have to drive at least 4 km to the south or 6 km up north for your fist sandy beach. 
We booked the place so we and our daughters could plan the day more individually. 
Now we had to go all together by car. Not as relaxed as we intend to have our vacation! 
And let's not forget we payed high price for combination swimmingpool and walkin distance sea-side!

There was no hot water for showers even though the place is clearly fairly new.  Whatever the water heaters were, they were not capable of handling even a two minute shower (we timed it).  The woman running the place let us try another apartment but it was the same.  We were not fussy at all but even a quick, warm shower would have been nice.  Nice pool and great towns to visit nearby with good suggestions by the staff.
