Thanks to Valerio and Elisa for their hospitality. 
We travelled in May 2017 with my partner and had a great time in Tuscany for 3 days. 

+ A coffee machine and fridge could be used for guests.
+ Nice view from room and breakfast area
+ well decorated
+ in a very nice town
+ Parking is safe (electronic gate)
+ Good value for money

Excellent Hospitality

Valerio and Elisa offer a warm welcome to their traditional Tuscan farmhouse B&B. They are a delightful couple who both speak English and juggle the business with full time jobs, so you are on your own far part of the day, but this never presented a problem for us. They provided us with some great tips for exploring the area (as well as decent maps).

The house is beautifully appointed with period furnishing throughout and large modern bathrooms. The location is ideal, giving the impression of being deep in the Tuscan countryside, whilst being only 10 minutes drive from Sienna city centre (or an hours walk along some rather perilous, narrow, pavement-less roads) - and its transport links to the tourist villages to the south and Chianti and Florence to the north. Views from the property are stunning and there is a beautiful garden with a terrace facing a barn conversion where Elisa's parents live. A highlight of our stay was a tour of the property's several acres of kitchen gardens and olive groves courtesy of Paulo - Elisa's father. Afterward we picked some figs to go with our Parma ham for lunch...

...Breakfast was adequate and dinner can be pre-booked. This is recommended as Valerio is quite the chef and uses, wherever possible, ingredients harvested, that day, from the kitchen gardens.

Pets are very welcome and our dog, Ted, enjoyed the stay as much as we did. We met a delightful Italian couple who were also staying at La Flora and spent a memorable evening on the terrace, involving lots of Chianti and laughter...

If you want to experience Tuscany 24/7, rather than just when you step out of your hotel room, then I cannot recommend La Flora enough. It's a little gem.

Excellent location for this gem of a B&B

I am very late reviewing this Bed and Breakfast.  We travelled in September 2014 with friends on our own in the Tuscany area for 2 weeks.  La Flora was our second stop.  The house itself was lovely as is the area.  Every window has a beautiful view at any time of day.  There is a breakfast room where they also serve a supper if you order ahead.  We did this the first evening and it was delicious.  You can also use the room at any other time as there is more room there to sit and do whatever.   The young couple that run the B&B work outside the home so you are on your own in the morning; although, the food is laid out.  Although, we enjoyed our time there, I was not enamoured of some things.
  1.  It is a drive out of Siena which is not fun when it is dark and there are not alot of signs.  
2.  The typical Italian breakfast of sweets and coffee is fine; however, the entire time the cakes sat out day after day for our entire stay.  We did have ham and cheese as well and it was in the fridge and we returned these items there when we were done.  
3.  No room cleanup - which is fine - but I still like to have some room service done.   
4.  We are a friendly group of 4 Canadians; and in the evening, when we were in the breakfast room, no one came by to see how our day went or what we did (even though they were in the next room).  We know they work and people that stay there on the weekends seemed to have a different experience judging from the reviews.
5.  Cats - jumping on the breakfast table and up everywhere.  If the food had not been covered - none of us would have eaten.  I am not opposed to cats but it was abit disconcerting when they are climbing on furniture.   We would probably not return because of the above.  
We have stayed at several B&Bs so we are not unfamiliar with the routines.  We came from Florence, did the Siena area, San Gimignano.  Driving in Siena was its very own adventure!
All the food, wine, and sights were great.

Beautiful Views

The young couple that runs the place also have day jobs, so you are on your own.  They wash the sheets and lay out breakfast but that is all that they do. (Unless you want them to cook dinner for you.)  I didn't mind the set up. We liked the solitude. A lot of people complain about the street noise but we didn't have the room facing the street so it was bearable.  We took a stroll out the back gate into the farmland, made friends with the cats, and drank a lot of blood orange juice from the refrigerator. (yum)  It was a good home base for Tuscany.  We went to Florence, Pienza, Cortona, San Gimignano, and everywhere in between.  We had a car and they have an electronic gate that all the families use. The neighbors are friendly. Hell, everybody is friendly outside of the major cities. Would we come here again?... probably not. Would we recommend it to you?... yes it was a good deal for the money.  We would definitely stay in the area.  Good vibes from this area outside Siena.

Solitude in Tuscany.

We stayed at B&B La Flora at the end of 10 great days in Italy. Sadly, we were quite disappointed. Our room was the one that looked over the street and like other reviewers before us, we couldn't open the window because of the noise which made our room very hot and muggy. We did ask for a fan for the second night which was provided for us, but it would have been really nice to be able to open our window at all. Other guests were raving about their rooms though so perhaps the key is just to not have the room facing the street. Additionally, our bedspread seemed quite old and dirty. The bathroom had been updated and was clean though.
