Distilleria Gualco

We were two couples, and a 10-year-old. We rented the apartment for one night on our way to Florence. The town is charming and friendly. We enjoyed strolling along the main street in the evening, and there are a couple of nice churches. The apartment itself was spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had mostly what we needed, although we didn't really use it for cooking since we dined out. Unfortunately, no one explained how the aircon worked or even if it was an aircon unit and not just heating. The lady who checked us in and showed us around barely spoke English and was friendly but hurried off before we could get any explanation from her. It was a Sunday, so I suspect she was standing in and didn't know much about the place. We were pretty much left to our own devices. The parking was in the street just outside the door, which was fine. I think we paid 100 some euros, and felt we got our money's worth. If you like grappa, you will be well served.
