Gorgeous property with tons of indoor and outdoor space for large groups. Our multigenerational family of 10 loved it. Great access to Florence and smaller towns in Tuscany as well. Highly recommend and hope to go back!!

Il Paganello

The experience staying at Il Paganello Winery and Villa in Tuscany can be conveyed in one word, Perfetto!  

After many painstaking hours of searching for the right villa to host our friends for a milestone birthday celebration, we settled on il Paganello.  The two selling point were the renovated bathrooms and the reviews.  Most villas would appear to not have updated bathrooms per reviews (or lack of pictures); well il Paganello’s bathrooms are large, updated, and luxurious matching the photos perfectly.  Also if you read the reviews such as mine, you see/hear only exceptional words.

Once we arrived, every room was beautifully appointed, and the week ran seamlessly as Ricardo Bordoni was exceptionally attentive to our needs (but we needed little due to Ricardo’s anticipation of things before we required). The villa is large enough to provide diverse atmospheres and opportunities to find reprieve if needed, yet warm and inviting much like a quaint bungalow.  Outside dinning was exceptional with sweeping views of Chianti and the miles of vineyards and olive groves.  Moreover, the location is perfect for a Tuscan holiday, as it is quaintly nestled in the countryside for easy access to the various picturesque towns, yet allows for efficient access to the larger towns of Florence and Tuscany. 

Again, our time at il Paganello was Perfetto!!  We will be back!!!!

Our Chef - Cristina Bussotti

While looking for the perfect personal chef for our Tuscan holiday at a local villa, we found the perfect chef which turned out to be new-found family.  First, her cuisine was authentic and exactly what we were seeking; we felt like we were pulling a seat up to Nona’s family table eating home-cooked recipes handed down over generations instead of being served by a stuffy celebrity Tuscan chef.  Secondly, she was attentive to all shopping and cuisine requests, and effortlessly exceed them in every way.  We requested flowers in each room, which were larger than expected (for the price charged) which lasted the entire week beautifully.  We had two milestone birthdays over our week stay and requested pastries; again, she exceeded our expectations and presented delectable desserts that were pieces of art.  Similarly, my father surprised us all by buying local eggplants and requested a special meal; Cristina effortlessly pivoted and updated the menu to include multiple preparations of this new menu item much like a Chopped-winning chef.  It was a pleasure watching her husband Mauro provide an impromptu pasta making demonstration, as well as getting to know her daughter as she assisted Cristina.  We look forward to being back in Tuscany and pulling a chair up to Cristina’s table again.

Perfetto!

This Villa is amazing in every way.Beauty  , location, cleanliness  , amenities, Host, Maid service,  Pool, over the top rooms and in suite baths, and breath taking views of the Chianti countryside. Chef Cristina provided some super dinners and to central Firenze is a 25 minute drive. Local restaurants in Tavarnelle are great and day trips to Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, Lucca, Pisa and the hill towns are just a short beautiful dive away. We had a family of 14 from 76 to 8 years of age and all had a two week blast despite the Covid 19 curse. Host Ricccardo will provide the most wonderful stay in Tuscany of your life. Dr. Jim Patten. Under The Tuscan Sun

Beautiful place, perfectly furnished, wonderful host. We were a group of 7 couples. Each had our own room and bathroom. We loved the times in the downstairs kitchen. We enjoyed our cooking class evening together. Antoniori vineyard was an excellent tour and tasting. Visits to Siena and Florence were frequent and close. Travenelle is a great place for groceries and we found the restaurants  in the square very nice.  Barberino also had a great market and cafe. 

Great week for all 14 of us 

We came as a group of 6 couples, long time friends, to spend some quality time (without the kids :)).  The villa is absolutely gorgeous, with 8 separate bedrooms, 6 with ensuite bathrooms.  For some reason they have not updated the pictures on tripadvisor, which is a shame, since the villa has been significantly upgraded and is just beautiful both inside and out.  Also Riccardo, the owner, is a terrific and helpful host.  The villa has its own vineyard and winery, and Riccardo provides wine tastings and tours.  They also produce their own olive oil.  They are both great local tastes! 
I wholeheartedly recommend this villa for large groups, where you are provided with very private and spacious rooms, but also have ample space to meet as a group both inside the villa as well as out.  The kitchen is well equipped for cooking.
Another plus, the location of the villa is perfect for travelling around Tuscany.  It was just perfect for us, just the right ambience, comfort and luxury.  Highly recommended!

Dream vacation spot in Tuscany!

IL Paganello was a wonderful place to stay. My daughter and I had the pleasure of spending 6 days in the Loggia apartment. The estate was very serene. Great place to unwind and recharge. Il Pagenello wines are superb! Riccardo was an excellent host and very accomidating to us. The estate is very close to Florence and Sienna. The location was nice for us to make day trips around Tuscany. I plan on making a few trips back to IL Pagenello!!

Best vacation with my daughter!

Our family and I have had the pleasure of spending 10 days at Il Paganello in September 2014. We rented the Terrazza and Benedetta, which were more than large enough for a group of five adults and two kids.

Il Paganello is ideally located in Noce, five minutes west of Tavarnelle, on the top of a hill sitting at 350 meters above sea level. The view is stunning and the surroundings are made of olive trees and beautiful vineyards all around.

Il Paganello is approximately 30 minutes away from Florence to the north, San Gimignano to the south and Greve in Chianti to the east. It is under an hour away from Sienna to the south. If you feel more adventurous, Bologna and Modena are about 2 hours north.

Other than visiting these beautiful medieval cities or enjoying the pool and surroundings of Il Paganello, you might want to discover the local food specialties. For that, an absolute must is Antica Tratorria La Toppa, in San Donato Di Pogglio. You will be enchanted by both the service and food, as well as by the charm of the small town in which the restaurant is located.

A few tips about Il Paganello : while apartments are fully equipped with everything to cook, including a BBQ, you may want to know that there is no oven, toaster or electric coffee maker. Also, know that free wifi is offered in the central courtyar
