We stayed for two nights in this hotel and we are still talking about how great it was. 

I loved how they used space, respecting existing architecture. Nice and clean rooms, full equipped for basic vacation needs. 
Nice people at the reception, fluent English speakers, giving you all the indications you need. 

Returning for sure, if I'm around! 

Excelent accommodation in a great historical building! 

We stayed at Le Scalette for a night en route to Sorrento peninsula. The hotel is located next to old town and only a few minutes walk from city centre. The building itself is a bit shabby from the outside and can be easily missed if you don´t look for the sign on the second floor. As the rooms are on the second floor and the steps are steep (there´s no elevator) I can´t recommend Le Scalette to those with some walking restrictions.

The reception is closed from 13:00 -16:30 but you can call the owner who arrives in a few minutes (at least this worked for us). The owner is helpful and speaks some english.

Our room had one double and two single beds. It was clean and in good order. Our stay did not include breakfast but we made good use of rooms spacious fridge and bought what we needed from a nearby market. Takeaway coffee was available in a gas station almost next to the hotel.

The hotel has no parking lot but there is a common parking space in a small piazza in front of the hotel.

Good location

Even though 5min walking from centre, if you can call it that way, we were quite surprised with the state of the building and area around. We stayed there for a night on our way from Rome to Amalfi coast. We arrived rather late and didn't have a luxury of being picky, so we just found it online on the go. First, Terracina is small and not exciting so there is no really good area to stay. If you want beach it is maybe 15min walking, but we were not interested in that.  B&B is decent, clean, big rooms and there is not much to say about it, but we didn't need more. Breakfast is at the nearby petrol station...yea that was our reaction but actually it is small bar at petrol station with pleasant staff and nice croissants and good coffee (that's what you get for breakfast).

Rough area

We got to this hard to find gem that is rough on the outside but smooth on the inside. We waited as there was no one there. Door locked and a note to call cellphone. I don't have a cellphone. I stopped someone, she called and we got "Client unavailable message". I bought a phone card, searched high and low for a public phone. None worked. I went back to location, grabbed all our bags and went to get lunch lugging everything around. I called using resto owners cell phone but still "Client Unavailable". finally after 2 hours...I finally get through. Hotel itself was worth the wait. Nice, clean, spacious and ideally located.
