Hotel Zerbion

My family and I recently stayed at the Zerbion Hotel, Torgnon. We have stayed here many times over the last 23 years, 17 times to be precise, and we feel that somehow the entire experience continues to improve every time. The Zerbion is run by two brothers, Liam and Aldrin, and their wonderful father Livio. The older brother Liam runs the hotel, and runs it perfectly, he treats everybody like a best friend, he truly is a wonderful person giving amazing genuine service, he simply does not know how to say NO, whatever you ask, he says yes. As you can see from my other reviews, my wife and I have stayed in many five-star hotels, the Zerbion Hotel is a three-star Superior (3 *** S) but easily competes with the five-star hotels with Liams incredible service. The five-star hotels are wonderful with their trained staff, but Liams service is five star genuine from the heart service. The younger brother, Aldrin, is the head chef and delivers excellent local cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stayed for eight nights and did not have an average meal, they were all excellent. Without wanting to sound big headed, I know about food having run my own restaurants for over twenty years and spending over forty years in the catering industry, Aldrins food is wonderful. Livio, the father, took me and a few other guests to his spirits cellar one evening after dinner where he makes his own liquors and we had a tasting session of 12-15 different types of home-made liquors, another amazing experience at the Zerbion courtesy of the wonderful Livio. The Zerbion staff are also very good, the dining room is managed by Maurizio who is excellent, and on the rare occasions Liam is not around, you have his cousin and assistant Etienne taking care of you, who is also excellent. As for the hotel itself, it is lovely and has this great relaxed feel about it. It has a large children’s playroom, a large area to relax around a real fire and a well-stocked bar. The bedrooms are very nice, most of which have been recently refurbished to a high standard and have amazing views. As for location, the Zerbion Hotel is perfectly located with a five-minute walk to the Gondola, but if you are feeling tired, Livio operates a complimentary taxi service on his open top three wheeled Piaggio, my grandson loved it. The Zerbion calls itself a Family Hotel, and that’s exactly what it is. We came here when our children were very young, and now come with them and our beautiful grandchildren, we hope this can continue for us for many, many years. If you are thinking of going skiing and want an amazing… great… wonderful family friendly hotel, trust me this is the one. I very highly recommend staying here.
