I've proposed myself as a pastry assistant, in a few months, when I retire... or I could take care of the garden and then the puppy and the kitten... this to say how much I enjoyed the Masseria di Giovanni e Marialuisa. I've never seen one, except in photography.

Sweet Masseria Giustiniani

The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, excellent mattresses and rest absolutely assured for the silence surrounding the structure; provide umbrella shelves, a blanket and a small refrigerator. Available and smiling properties that are a valuable source of advice and explanations about the area. Breakfast with local products, homemade fruit cakes and jam, frills and tomatoes all already present on the table, on request coffee juice and milk mules. Personally, by choosing a miniature menu and I wouldn't have left a spare room. We have a couple of delicious recipes and explanations for the area.

Holidays in Masseria

We stayed for 5 nights at Masseria Giustiniani. Immersed in the greenery, between vineyards and olive groves, far from the usual tourist spots, it made us discover a new Puglia. The owners were kind and available, always ready to direct us to the best beaches and best places to visit! Order and cleanliness are enviable, how enviable it is to sleep and stay in an abandoned farm, if you can say, raw, authentic, but with all the comforts you expect from a reception facility. A note about breakfast, which doesn't want to be (happily!) the usual continental breakfast, but which pushes on the products of the local farm or of growers and producers itself.

Beautiful structure, simple and welcoming, enriched by the courtesy of the owners, Marialuisa and Giovanni, and the genuineness of the products that await you for breakfast and dinner, all homemade. What I appreciated most was the quality of sleep that is fundamental for us when we travel! Silence and peace... a few days that have regenerated us... beautiful beaches a few kilometers away... thank you very soon

Remove the spine and regenerate

This is the fifth time that we have chosen the Masseria Giustiniani for our Apulia vacation. Marialuisa and Giovanni are excellent hosts. The Masseria is located quite easily outside the village of Toricella. The Masseria is surrounded by mountains and it is beautifully quiet. Marialuisa is a good cook, where she prepares dinner on order. A big plus is that she offers lactose intolerant people as many varied products as others. The rooms with views are great, even the consecrated apartments are very beautiful. We always like to come back.

Relax to the Masseria Giustiniani

It's a very nice stay! The owner is very friendly, the dinner is excellent and the rooms are large. Ideal to turn off. The sea is 10 minutes away. The breakfast was also very extensive and there were many local specialties.

A nice stay in complete peace

We booked this approximately 6 months before arrival as being an agri turismo masseria they offer a restaurant on site for lunch and dinners. 
Two weeks before arrival I emailed to reserve dinner for our arrival day. The owner only then informed me as we (two adults) were their only guests for our two nights stay they would not have a chef on site to cook for us but suggested some restaurants within a few kms. She also offered to cancel our reservation but with just two weeks to go we didn’t want to figure out a new place at such short notice. However we wished we had cancelled. 
On arrival we were greeted by the husband and wife owners, polite. They showed us to our room and gave us a few suggestions again for dinner. 
That evening we went to one restaurant only to discover it was closed for renovations. Before driving to the other towns/ restaurants that they had suggested we decided to call them, the restaurants either didn’t answer or those who did said they were closed during our dates. We checked more places on google maps and called but had the same results. None had update their hours for this “low” season. In desperation we called the owners (who we could hear eating their dinner!!), they suggested a few more options but we were parked outside these ones which were also closed. The owners called one last option who were open. We drove over, by this time it’d been ~1.5hrs since we started. This place was a coffee bar with some pre-made dishes that you could select and they’d heat up. Food was good but when you are visiting Italy and staying in an agri turismo you are there to try local home cooked meals. 
Reading old reviews I see the host used to cook meals, so it was disappointing that if she wasn’t willing to pay for their chef to work during our dates, why didn’t the owner offer to cook us some meals. 
Also, as they decided not to cook for us or pay for their chef to be on duty, because as they said it’s low season, I was disappointed that she didn’t call all her listed restaurants in advance and confirm that they would be open for lunch and dinner during our dates. Rather than leaving it to us to figure out on arrival. 
Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room. 
Breakfast was good. A selection of local breads, cakes, tomatoes, cooked eggs in local way, meats, cheeses. 
If they are not able to or unwilling to provide meals as they advertise that they do, then they should either inform the guests at the time of booking or not accept the booking at all for the dates when they can not cook. 
Reading previous reviews I see others have had similar problems during the “low season”. We found this low interest in hospitality poor, we visited another masseria even more south and again we were their only guests during this low season, however they kept their chef on duty for the three nights we were there and cooked us lots of delicious meals. 
As a result of this we only stayed one of the two nights, had to pay a cancellation fee for the 2nd night, the owner gave us one of their home made jarred artichokes which was kind. 
Based on the poor experience we would not stay again and suggest other visitors ensure they have confirmation in advance that the chef will be on duty.

Wouldn’t employ chef for dinners during low season, nowhere to eat

Beautiful and relaxing place immersed in the vineyards, excellent breakfast and dinner with local products. The rooms and the whole structure are very clean. friendly and kind and friendly owners and always available to give directions to reach other places and to give explanations of various kinds. We spent a good holiday in this structure and we recommend Nicola and Moira

A great holiday in relaxation.

Great place to enjoy the silence, nature and cuisine. I have rarely eaten such tasty and genuine vegetables. The farmhouse has beautiful quiet and independent rooms, a restaurant that amazes with the simplicity and quality and, most importantly, the kindness of the owners. Their serenity alone is worth a detox therapy! Great place, not easy to reach but perfectly able to meet every need of tourists

Everything perfect and organized, very clean facilities, very well maintained environments, abundant breakfast, excellent quality and homemade cakes, very friendly owners, we will definitely return to recommend it to our friends who want to have a great experience in Puglia.
