This is why Italy is called Il Bel Paese (the beautiful country). This is the warm and inviting hospitality of Italians and it is personified so well in Alessandro and Francesca. We were on our honeymoon and could not have been treated with more careful, loving attention. We traveled by public transport (not recommended since it can be a bit tricky to find and requires 2 buses from Salerno, but Alessandro and Francesca were so helpful in helping us get to the coast), but were instantly transported to a different place and time in this 1600-1700 farmhouse. So peaceful and simply beautiful. Your balcony overlooks MOUNTAINS. You are away from the crowds and spend your nights looking out into the majestic hills sipping wine you bought produced locally next door (also highly recommend Osteria Reale next door). There are probably only a handful of really good hotels you will stay in your life. This is one of those places. This is real, beautiful Italy, without the overwhelming tourists that surround the coast. Grazie, Alessandro e Francesa, per il perfetto viaggio di nozze. Ricorderemo quest'esperienza per tutte le nostre vite, e speriamo di ritornare un giorno.
