The view is amazing and changes depending on the time of day: be in the clouds, above them or below, and watch pretty sunsets and ferries go back and forward across the lake to Switzerland. Spacious apartment, clean, friendly staff, well equipped, romantic, tastefully decorated, nice restaurant, healthy breakfast. Only drawback is the windy steep road to get there...but it’s worth the drive. 
Note- the jacuzzi is for summer time only.

We spent a couple of days here, 500 meter above Lago Maggiore, splendid view 5/5, spacious clean and comfortable apartment with little but complete kitchen, perfect beds, comfortable chairs and functional eating corner. 5/5 The clean well maintained bathroom is complete with shower (Small shower for tall people) 4/5. Wifi free of charge stable and fast enough 4/5. Terrace foreseen with 2 new stretchers, 2 chairs and small table with splendid view over the lake 5/5. Flat screen tv. A top and comfortable location.

Great Place to stay and very friendly owner

Greeted by friendly and efficient Dario, shown to our spacious apartment with large balcony with great views to the lake.  Don't be too put off by the torturous 6k drive up the mountain as the end result is worth it. Residence usignolo has a popular bar which doubles as morning location for breakfast. They also own the nearby restaurant of same name which is only 20 mins walk away and offers excellent good value food in a vibrant environment. If you go early enough (i.e. 7pm ish) you'll probably get an open air table with panoramic views over the lake.   

Great accommodation with good views over lake maggiore 

We booked this online, and based on previous reviews, and were not disappointed.  A lovely mountain setting overlooking Lake Maggiore.  The accommodation had all we required - fridge, cooker, all kitchen utensils, and a safe. There was also a large private balcony with table and chairs and loungers. The only thing missing on our visit was air conditioning, and it would have been beneficial on a couple of particularly hot nights.  Breakfast included a wide and ample selection of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and yogurts, well presented, and served in the 'Elios bar' immediately adjacent to the apartments. The Bar also served food and drinks during the day and in the evenings, and we found the owner Dario, and all the staff, very friendly and helpful.  We also ate at Ristorante Usignolo, which is situated 5 minutes further down the mountain, and is an excellent, and very popular and busy restaurant. As identified in other reviews, this accommodation is up the mountain via a fairly long winding road, which is narrow in parts, but with careful driving and respect for other road users, we did not find this too much of an issue.  Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Great price-quality value! Amazing terrace, comfortable sun chairs, large room with kitchen, bikes for rent, good breakfast! Only positive impressions! Shop is 500 m away, the only downside is long and steeply drive up and down, but it's an adventure too!
