The property has six rooms and is located on part of the second floor of an old "palace" type of building in the central business area of Trieste.  It's a 7 minute walk from the Trieste Centrale station.  There is no elevator.  Because it is small, you're really getting a hotel room, not a hotel.

Our room, the smallest of three sizes, was quite spacious and comfortable.   Most of the rooms face a busy street but with the modern windows plus the electric roll down shade, it's pretty quiet.  We had a personal heat pump.  Furnishings were somewhat basic.

 I'm not sure why but Trieste seems to have very expensive hotel rooms but the Brilliant Camere price was quite good.  The place is run by a woman we never met.  We arrived on a Sunday and were checked in by the woman's mother who didn't speak much English but we managed to get by.  I don't think we saw anyone else during the two days we were there.

It's a lovely place for what it is.  It could fit in the modern (rooms) or quaint (building) category.   If you want a unique experience and don't mind stairs, then you might want to give this one a try.



Nice room in small part of an old building

Place was very clean, upgraded and lovely as others have mentioned. No breakfast is served, there are several walkable cafes nearby within a block or two. Parking was a long, 3 blocks away, so dragged our bags was not fun and also no lift, so difficult to lug bags to second floor. AC was very cold and individual control in the room. Valentina (owner’s mother) was very helpful although she spoke no English which was challenging. Bed was very firm, but new and comfortable. Would stay again. 

Very nice but not a B&B

What a beautiful place. Big, sunny airy rooms and friendly service. You have to climb some stairs to get there and parking is a little tricky but it is worth it.

Trieste is historic and well preserved. Worth exploring for at least a day

A brilliant hotel

I spent wonderful weekend in Trieste and in this accommodation. The owner of this place Daniela is very kind and she'll explain you everything you need to know in mixed English-Italian language :) this place is 10 minutes walking distance from city center, in quite building. Near is public parking. Room is large, fully equipped, with a nice bathroom. I wouldn't change anything. I definitely stay here, if I come to Trieste again.

Great place to stay!

The room we were given at Brilliant Camere was very clean and bright, and tastefully decorated. The lady who met us at the reception (the mother of the owner) was also bright and cheerful. There is little distraction and no gimmicks. A pleasant and easy place to spend a night in Triest.

Clean & Bright

Honestly speaking we made the choice by the location (Trieste dowtown) and the price considering that we were looking for a location in Trieste central for the Barcolana.
But "surprise, surprise" we found a very nice B&B , recently renewed with a very "customer oriented" service.
Location is absolutely "central" : if you have in mind to visit Trieste close to the sea and/or to participate to the next Barcolana this is the place.
Only one "negative" point : when big events finding a parking is quite difficult, therefore, plan to get in one of the close public parking and you solve the issue.
