We travelled 10 ladies 18-56 years , clean beds, very simple basic rooms. Some with bathroom some not. 2 rooms facing the canal, no bathroom. I believe they both are triple rooms. They have great view accross the canal, you can see cruise ships sailing in and out of Venice. 
 Chira was the best host! And she speaks chinese....! This is an university dorm that serves as hostel time to time. Not sure when excatly. It is on island Guidecca. Redentore is yr stop. A "mercato" 100m away and a gelato store a tiny boutique. Nothings else around. 
They have a kitchen, you can cook. Some people leave left over grocieries and books read to grab. Will go again. Not the most romantic accodomation for couple but totally acceptable. Dont forget no service, just basic cleaning...

Low cost, clean and cozy and also safe...

This hostel was incredibly beautifully situated! From the front door you had a spectacular view over the canal and across from it not far off you could see the Pizza San Marco. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke English quite well. The room was spacious and the bathrooms were very clean! Our room also came with a fan to keep us somewhat fresh in this Italian heat! Would definitely come back!

Gorgeous view!

The room was spacious for two people, pretty basic but very clean. The wifi is working well, toilets and showers are clean. 
The place is easily reachable from the train station. The receptionist was really nice and friendly
You can drop your luggage there for free which is very helpful and nice of them to do so, considering it's quiet expensive everywhere else 

Nice and clean 

We enjoyed our two night stay here. Great views of the main island of Venice including San Marco and extremely easy transport from the hostel to anywhere. Despite the weird reception timetable, the staff were very accommodating and worked around our timetable as well. Would definitely recommend!

Quiet, clean and friendly.

Located on the island of Giudecca this hostel is in a really GREAT location for accessing the main centre of Venice by water taxi whilst escaping the city prices for accommodation. The hostel has plenty of fridge space, good showers and was clean. The only downside was the temperature of the room. We visited Venice in July and I think we underestimated how humid it would be at this time of year. Our room as equipped (as it seemed all rooms were) with a single fan for two people. The rooms were simply too hot, they were hotter than outside for some reason and the fan did little but move warm stuffy air around.
For the price we paid it was a great location with friendly staff and great facilities (minus the fans!) and I would recommend in the spring/autumn months but having got 2/3 hours of disjointed sleep a night it wasn't the most comfortable place to return to after a day in the baking heat.
