214 reviewsThe location is amazing, just off Rialto Bridge. Use the Rialto stop from the orange line from airport water bus operated by Alilaguna. It cost approx 15 euros. You go over the bridge, walk as far as you can and you turn into a tunnel/ entrance and the hotel is on the left. Doesn’t look much like a hotel and to be honest i was thinking what the hell have I booked by this point but it’s there! Pictures attached. On arrival, we let ourselves in using a code.... the cleaner was very friendly and helpful she was finishing our room up as we arrived .... We had room , a tiny ground floor double room, with windows but not normal ones. High up and they looked into the passage way, so Very dark and can be noisy on a weekend. This room Has absolutely NO WIFI OR PHONE SIGNAL WHATSOEVER.... I do think the hotel need to Make people who book this room aware of it because travelling with my young daughter we could have done with WiFi of an evening and to receive and make calls from the room. However we did sit in the reception which was unmanned and used the connection there which wasn’t much hassle. The rest of the rooms were fine. The room itself. I found it to be clean, tidy, didn’t smell. Was warm. Very traditional and maybe outdated but I think that adds to the charm and the whole experience of Venice! The curtains were a bit dodgy and dusty, and there was damp up one wall.... and on the ceiling which they’ve covered up somewhat. There was a massive chandelier which was over the bed which could have done with a bit of securing! The bathroom was spotless. No complaints and the cleaner cleaned every day while we were out. Bed was comfortable, clean and tidy. Could have done with up to date bedding the blankets were a bit prison issue. Furniture cute but worn. Reception old fashioned but clean and tidy, and relatively unmanned. Kept expecting Basil Fawlty to come from Behind the curtain. The main door looks like a prison cell, and the hallway and reception could do with some renovation. It’s all Clean and tidy just old world. No breakfast included, which is fine because the croissants looked a bit scary. It was clean, safe, relatively quiet and the location spot on. Friendly staff and the room kinda grows on you after a day. I’ll be sad to leave this beautiful city. If your looking for modern, posh, Hilton or anything like that then this isn’t the place for you. If, like us, you want a place to put your bags, be safe, have a good nights sleep and be in the middle of it all then it’s perfect. I’ve read some of the other reviews and they scared me a bit. I would stay again, id just ask for a room with WiFi, that’s my only complaint about the place! And I’m usually fussy! Lots of photos attached
