This Bed and Breakfast is located opposite train station. At the entrance gate must ring to let the door open. On the 5th floor a helpful owner greets us.

We, with my wife and 10 months our baby stayed in the period from 16 June to 17 June. The price performance is ok, and we felt very comfortable there. Room cleaning is ok. we have good outside view

Quiet and comfortable

Two minutes from the train station which takes you direct into Venice.

Really old 1960's? building that seems ripe for demolition. After a week of staying in similarly priced accommodation, we arrived and realised we had dropped one in booking this place. It's horrible. 

Imagine a tacky Chinese takeaway that has branched out into the lucrative market for accommodation in the area and is chancing it. No money has been spent on refurbishment since the place was built. Everything is really poor quality or falling apart.

With no air conditioning the place would be hell in summer. 

The place is cheap, but overpriced for what you get. I would advise spending £20 more to get a decent place to stay. I wish I hadn't stayed here

good location, unpleasant accomodation

Like staying at an Auntys home; slightly dated, bit noisy from the street below, hit and miss hot water in the showers (men's bathroom seemed to have only cold water; whereupon women's bathroom ran hot and cold), breakfast was a bit sweet for my taste but fantastic espresso machine. 
The owner/ operator Sheila was friendly and accommodating, rooms and communal areas were clean, drinks and fruit available 24 hours in a stocked kitchen with crockery and cutlery/ microwave, toasters etc as with bathroom amenities and the location unbeatable. Only suggestion is to put locks on the bathroom doors that indicate 'occupied/vacant' so that guest don't have to come out and rattle the handles to see if they are free. Easy to find if you remind yourself to look at the photo of the entrance buzzers as the building is deceptively commercial looking.
Try Da Michele for pizza 5 mins walk away station side. Definitely avoid Columbus Pizza restaurant up the road unless you want to get bad service and a potato pizza that comes as a plain cheese/tomato pizza with (from frozen) french fries piled on top and €2 cover charge for the privilege (reviewed separately). We only went be a use the restaurant recommended by Sheila was closed on Sundays.

Terrific location Budget accommodation 

Nice, clean room. The shared bathrooms were small and often had no hot water when people used them in quick succession i.e in the morning. The location was next to the train station but when travelling by car we couldn't find a parking space. The parking is only on the street and there were no spaces free near the apartment. The area also was a bit shabby. Overall, the price was ok but I wouldn't stay again. 

Nice room but the rest not so 

The Nice House is located in Mestre which is just over the water from Venice.  It is a short inexpensive train ride to Venice, and is much less expensive than hotels located in Venice.  Our room was spacious and clean.  The hostess met us on the ground floor to show us how to operate the elevators, and escorted us up.  We had dinner at a well recommended Italian restaurant just a block away that was quite good.  We had access to two bathrooms with plenty of hot water.  We had a family style spread for our complimentary breakfast that included breads, meat and cheeses, and the hostess made your chosen type of coffee by the cup.  A slight drawback is the very small elevator that will only hold 2 people comfortably. We were literally right next door to the train station, and could easily catch our train to Florence.
