Stayed at Isolino for 4 nights. The site is very crowded especially on the touring pitches. The toilets and showers were clean and there were ample facilities for washing dishes etc. The campsite has a pool however you have to wear a swimming cap in order to go in it. There is a pizza restaurant on site which serves nice food, however it is nearly always full and usually requires a reservation. There is a jetty to launch boats which the campsite insists you book, however you don't actually need to as there are slipways which you can launch from. There are also a few beaches but the water is not very clean, although this is no fault of the campsite. All in all I would not return to this site but the onsite amenities like a pool would make it a good place to go with kids.

Crowded campsite, far from town.

We stayed for 10 nights in a select camp tent. The tent had definitely seen better days and was not as well equipped as we are used to with Vacansoleil or canvas. That said the site was amazing. Our children aged 9 and 12 loved the pools. We never had to queue for showers. We found the restaurant to be reasonably priced though soft drinks were expensive. 
We travelled entirely by public transport and found the mile walk to the bus stop a little too far in the heat but doable. 
We spent about half our time on site and half off. 
We Loved Stresa and the Mottarone cable car, also loved Laveno-Mombello and the chair lift (not for those who don’t like heights) 
We hit really bad weather the day we went to Baveno so can’t say we saw much there. 
We hired bikes from the campsite (about 40 euro for the 4 of us and cycled to Mergozzo which was stunning.
We also got the bus to Omegna on lake orta. And had several trips to Verbania by bus. 
We did feel a little limited by just using public transport, but it made us slow down. 
We loved the site just not our accommodation. 
Look out for the summer fireworks at pallanza, they are stunning 

Beautiful location not so good accommodation

A lovely campsite right on the lake. Good facilities and amazing location. Busy and a little crowded in the camping area but a lovely place. Supermarket, pool, bar etc all onsite. Boat trips from the site around the lake. 

Lovely site, amazing location 

The pool and lake are great. The ice cream and pizzeria a good price. Better come with some cash though as you can‘t pay with the card in the shop and the ATM asks 4 Euros extra per withdrawal.
What is very sad, is that the reception doesn‘t give you a nice camping spot if you come for less than a week. We had to stay on a shady place with no shadows and bathroom smell, although at least 30 places were free and apparently „reserved“, however most of them were still free 3 days later... what a shame! 
So my advice: come and enjoy the place, say you come for a week or two and leave after a couple of days if you like- just checkout the day before...

So sad for the lies at the reception!

Hi, we stayed here for a week in a tent on the lake shore. The facilities were good, a great adventure pool for young children, unfortunately it was not running everyday, table tennis, football, tennis. You can pay an extra 2 euros to play a game of pool, 5/6 euros an hour for canoeing, pedal boats and there is a spinning gym, and two outdoor play areas for the young ones plus bike rental. The toilet/shower blocks/site is immaculate, loads of hot water. The wifi was excellent.The down side are the cost you pay by a camp card for example 4.6 euros for two coca, the restaurant is not great and the same price as in the local towns for a lot higher standard. On some nights the bar shut at 10pm. The plus side is for young children the facilities are good and well worth visiting. Chatting to our couriers they were surprised at some of the rules and have not seen them at other sites.

Nice camping, specially for families with teenagers. A little bit louder. Beach is ok. Swimming pool was a little bit crowded. For people who are not into a quite place is ok
Not what we were looking for. Fortunately we were there for a day. 

Nice camping

The title maybe a bit misleading, because we stayed in a static home.

Our first experience was a mostly positive one. This place is great for families with kids.

However, if you have small kids that should be sleep before 10, I would pick a site away from the main hall, which had a kids disco and entertainment till then.

There are a few things that could be improved:
1) The shop on site is very dear and some of the fresh produce it sells, does not have a very long use by date.
2) The video restaurant is mostly good, but could do with adding a few healthier options. The first 2 nights meals were very salty as well, so unless you like a lot of salt, ask for no or little salt to be added to the food.
3) A launderette with washing machines should be installed on site.

Apart from the above, it was really clean and pretty much perfect. We really loved the ducks and rabbits that would want through the place as well.


First time camping as a family

Everything was awesome:place,people,food!the conditions in bungalow are wonderful,i didn't expect to be just like the picture but they are!the workers are very nice and they can speak english and German  (also awesome) and we  took a boat trip on lake to visit 2 islands.

Went on last weekend of the season and the site was really quiet. The restaurant is ok but after eating there 3 times i'd had enough. Looks like there is plenty to do for kids with a big animation area and loads of play things.
The pool was absolutely freezing. coldest I've ever experienced but I think it was just switched off for winter, none of the water features were on either.

Going by the huge number of sun loungers by the pool, literally hundreds in two rows, touching each other side by side and the huge number of tables in the snack bar, again touching each other, the place must be mental busy in the summer.

It's a slick operation, they are clearly geared up for the numbers. the check in - check out is to the point of being robotic .. but it works well.

Everything clean, tidy and well looked after but again, i just can't imagine it full in summer.

Of course the area is beautiful, Stresa, Orta etc etc.
