There are very few times when I leave an hotel, and the only thing I can think about is how a few more nights there might have been the better choice instead of trying something new. 

Fantastic service, so incredibly kind staff. The hotel room was insanely clean as well, which is a huge plus. 

Dinner package was very cheap, and provided a decent, albeit basic, dinner, but perfect for those nights where you dont want to go food hunting. 

We were there during the summer, and it was perfect place to start our bike rides into the mountains, with only about 20min ride to Corvara before the hills start. On the way back from the cycling routes, it only took 5min from Corvara since its all downhill. 

Wouldn't hesitate coming back here!

One of the best hotels we've stayed at

My wife and I have stayed here for one week in two consecutive Februarys ('18 and '19). Bed and breakfast each time.  The family are lovely people, as also the maids/restaurant staff.  All areas (& rooms) are impeccably clean.  There is a very nice bar area for relaxing in.  Breakfast is buffet-style and although obviously not as extensive as large hotels provide is more than adequate to set you up for a day's skiing.  There is a heated store room for skis and boots, warm air heating the inside of one's boots overnight.  A minibus comes regularly to transport you to and from the ski area.   Since 2018 a 'sky' lift has been built on the mountain-facing side of the building which is very helpful for transporting one's luggage to one's floor.  There are also a few self-catering apartments for those that prefer same. 
On Thursday afternoon there is free gluhvein for guests outside the front, which is a very sociable occasion.
Although our room overlooked the main road (& across the valley to the ski area  -  lovely view) traffic noise was no problem at all, due to the height of the Rungg above the road level.
There was a large patio area connected to our room, against the hillside, although we did not use this.
There is car parking right next to the entrance.  The Rungg is set on the hillside, up a steep driveway wide enough for only one vehicle and driving up (or down?) could be a problem if there is snow or ice on same. [There was no snow/ice to speak of when we arrived this year in our small Toyota hire car but due to having to stop part way up for pedestrians we had a problem getting traction due to gravel close to the ski store building. We learned to deal with this by accelerating hard from where the drive meets the public road in a Y-junction just.as the gradient was reached.  4-wheel drive would be best.]
More than likely we will stay here again should we return to Alta Badia.

Homely,friendly and well-located for access to ski lifts.

Stayed in 3 person apartment on the ground floor with wife and 18 year old son as a cheaper alternative to a half-term package holiday. Free ski bus stopped literally a few feet from the ski room. Apartment was clean and very warm, the family running the establishment were very friendly. We had a hire car which we were able to park just outside and was useful for getting straight to Armentarola or Corvara for more distant ski destinations.

Excellent base for ski holiday

I was guest here for 3 nights in half board. My room was very comfortable, and I suppose that it has been renewed recently. Great shower and bathroom, silent location. The food is delicious and I totally advice to make half board. If you like to ski there's a bus service for the nearest ski area, which is very near also by feet. They have also a room to deposit your ski gear. The service provided is definitely more than a two star hotel and the price is very affordable to please choose this hotel without any doubts! Take into consideration that there is no elevator in case you need one.

We were in a suite called Panorama (march 2017)..."On the first floor of Pension Rungg there is this large apartment with a double view on Monte Santa Croce and on the garden. It’s composed by kitchen, dining room with double sofa bed, bedroom, two en suite bathrooms"...Standard breakfasts (swedish table), you can also order full board. 
After skiing the rooms were always clean and tidy...Very nice, cultural hotel service. I'd definitely recommend this beautifull place to stay in Badia...

Pension Rungg *** - Badia (Trydent-Górna Adyga), Italy

The owners and the staff are really nice and helpfull if you need any information.
The position is not in the center of the village, but really close to it (2-3 min by walk). The big point about this hotel is the location in the Dolomiti region (close to Val Pusteria and Dolomiti Cadore). Even food in this hotel is really good thanks to the knowledge of Ladin tradition of the modern chef!
