This lodge could be SO much more!  When I arrived, a hotel inspection was going on.  I was completely ignored, not even a hello, not even afterwards.
This place lacks TLC.
The hummingbird feeder was filthy, the water clearly hasn't been changed in a week.  You guys know this is potentially lethal for your beautiful birds??
Invest in a bit of road improvement,  install bird feeders to attract all that stunning wildlife your mountains have to offer, welcome your guests properly and clean up the plastic garbage in your garden.  Only then would your 140$ per night be worth its value.
My compliments to your cook-his dishes  were fingerlicking good!

This place has so much more potential!

The views and nature were really really nice
The staff working while we stayed in tried there best to work with the little they had
The guide we had for the Coffee Plantation and Blue Mountain tour was really lovely.

BUT
The access to the hotel is really really difficult to follow as it is of google maps.
The hotel it is not a 4 stars hotel ( half of it in under construction, lots of scrap on the side)
The hotel manager was rude over the phone when asking questions about how to reach the property.
The hotel manager gave us some prices for the lunch and dinner via email but his employees had not access to prices list so she charged us over the phone whatever she wanted at the end of the trip.
She tried to scams us when arranging a Blue Mountain Tour through her. She gave us a price which we agreed and paid to the tour guide directly (as not reception in the hotel) and then on the check out she tried to charge us again for the tour.
----The scam she tried was this: we would paid her the $$$ so the guide could take us to the Blue Mountain entrance, once there we would have had to pay $$ for another guide to take us up to the Peak( which was never mentioned on the emails shared). So she tried to double our expenses for her own benefit!!!!!!

Nice views, horrible hotel manager

This place was an exotic and breath taking view to behold. Surrounding by nature all wrapped around you, you will almost believe it was the Garden of  Eden. The mountains could echoing your name, with the relaxation and peace of mind a Starlight Chalet. A place where you could recuperate with nature, in taking everyone as there were from the young to the old with even wheelchair accessibility for persons.
The Staff was excellent with their service and breakfast in bed couldnt even wait, as you rise you were been served.
Respect Chef Benji and Lady Shenice housekeeping and to all the owners making it an unforgettable experience.

An Unforgettable Experience

The mountains are truly blue the views are breathtaking you are in a valley ( don’t ask me how) because you are at 4000 feet up so I felt apart of the mountains a phenomenal experience. The Chalet owners need to update their website to let the visitor know there is no spa and the place is being refurbished. If that is told I would be more prepared . The caretaker Mark is helpful and so kind Lorna the Cook can cook but there was not much to cook. There is no menu to choose from or bar to order a drink again being up front with what you have to offer us is so important. We made the best of the situations the rooms are beautiful we choose to get enveloped in the morning rising of the sun and the staff (2) who did their best to make us comfortable ( YouTube ) was their offer. There is so much potential but the first is honest advertising. It took me five days to write I did not want to be negative because the mountain experience is a MUST but travelers just know if you plan to stay here bring your drinks of choice your food as Lorna can prepare it. 

I look to the mountains

We booked this months ago and the owner Rachael charged me 3 times for no reason!!! We emailed her, called her and chased her and only one day before checked in she finally decided it was time to refund the remaining balance.
This is off season and we didn't know it was her private arrangements to bring us the coffee tour. There were no proper explanations nor any demos on how the coffee being processed or roasted. Purely some workers (her personal friends) in the farm who don't know how to explain to tourists and let alone showing us any of the roast process.  

That costs USD 35 per person!!!!!!

And when we politely asked her why the charge, she then turned her face and raised her voice saying it was proper charge and arrangement's and was stipulated in her old website while she is currently working on a new one. I think all the tourists must possess FBI or MI6 website detection skills or maybe terrorist website tracking skill to be able to find what she claimed the website that existed in worldwide web, cos I tried hard with my limited Google search skills, I failed horrendously.
Otherwise the rooms were obviously in the midst of work in progress but still clean and functioning. Meal wise it was never clear to you what is chargeable what is not until the end of the day you finally receive a total bill with big surprise!
Other than that, the place is calm and chilling and that's what we enjoyed. So be prepared to be ripped off in exchange for  chilling holidays. This is what Jamaica does to "rich" tourists anyway. There are definitely different charges to tourists vs the locals although the service does not pick up to its bill. We pay for the price of its nature, not the service ultimately.

Coffee tour a ripped off

Nice views and cool weather. The rooms could do with some updating, but if you are looking for a getaway from the city and some nice fresh air weather to get some alone time or spend some quality alone time with your significant other away from the distractions, within a modest environment then this is a good place.

The place is recently renovated. The rooms are okay but overpriced . The toilet flush didn't work.The place needs to be ready before it can accommodate guests .
But the cook Barry was a fav guy. 
The atmosphere around is nice and relaxing.  Good for a getaway .

Experience 

On the phone they told me they had a spa, to ignore the message that shows up on the website that they are renovating in the fall. my reservation was for one night on 12/22 and yes of course they could take the reservation; they were done. On the website it appears charming. Arriving was like surviving near death because the road is treacherous and slippery as it rains often, so much so that the very experienced driver appeared so uncomfortable on the prospect of having to pick us up the next day. The hotel is dusty still under construction; there is no spa, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room.  The patio cannot be used because it is still under renovation There is no restaurant; instead they say they will "cook to order." There were 2 staff members and no other guests (another "was expected" that night). I paid for a two bedroom suite and was shown a room with two beds. The pictures are false.  The hotel cannot be reached by phone unless you call the alternate # on their website, listen to the voice mail box # the automated voice refers to and then call that voicemail box #. I didn't care if I didn't get a refund, I was more concerned for safety and safety of any driver that had to come back for us. So we left. It was a 2 hour harrowing experience to get there from Ochi.  Luckily the ride back to Kingston was shorter. If you do go there, be careful of Section Road.  While the website says it's one mile from Section, it's the longest mile you'll ever travel. I really wish this place was managed better. I don't fault the staff; I would have much to say to the owner.
