This was our second stay at Xtabi and we booked again for next year before leaving. The laid-back energy is just our style. It's not a super swanky five-star resort but that's part of the appeal.

We come for the breathtaking sunsets and stay for the friendships. From the staff (special shoutouts to Kevin, Omar, Donna, Marsha and Michael) to the friendly locals in the neighbourhood, the people are what make the experience so special. Much love and soon come.

Vibes on Repeat

I had an excellent stay, great value for the price and spectacular views. 
I had stayed in one of the seaside cottages #6 and was so glad that I booked a sea front cottage. 
My views from my patio were spectacular pretty much anytime of the day but sunsets were the best. There were three loungers on my patio plus a table and two chairs so plenty of space to hang out. 
My room had air conditioning a mini fridge also a great outdoor shower plus the bed was comfortable and seating in the room was also good. 
The hotel is a little bit older so it’s not shiny and new but you can tell that the furniture is really solid and well built. These items were meant to last and are well-made. I appreciate quality especially for the price. 
Lots of great places to swim/snorkel from if you’re comfortable with the ladders, there is also a few caves to explore with one that has a bit of a sandy Beach when the water is really calm. 
Restaurant is great. I pretty much had really good meals every time I ate there, love the eggs Benedict for breakfast plus their omelets are great. Don’t have anything bad to say about the food. Drinks are reasonably priced.
They have a pool across the street in their garden side, which I checked out one day. Nice pool, very relaxing.
Hope to be back very soon!

Beautiful Xtabi

10/10 recommend Xtabi! Rooms are super clean. Great value for your money. I felt safe and well cared for the whole stay. The cliffs are magical and everything you need is in a short distance. The restaurant is fresh and they even accommodated my food wishes. Everyone is so accommodating and everything is a “yes man”! I am already planning my next stay!

Magical Xtabi

Went juste for the day to enjoy the water per recommendation of our air bnb host. The place was amazing ! Staff was so nice, food was good, and the cliff jumping / access to the water is great. There is also free parking across the street. I recommend this place for a sunny day

Beautiful place for a cliff jumping day

The Xtabi Resort is a nice place in a beautiful location. It is far away from the beach and the city centre, so you need a car if you want to get around more. But it is right at the cliffs and you can do cliff diving or explore the caves. Our room was good and spacious, as was the bathroom. It was clean as well. From our place you couldn't see the cliffs or the ocean. We were on the other side of the road but we had easy access to the cliffs via the restaurant that was part of the resort.
The staff was pretty unfriendly. You couldn't get a hello out of them (except for one gardener) and we had the feeling that they didn't really want us there. None of them ever smiled and they seemed annoyed when we had any questions. 

Underwhelming 

Went down for the day after reading a recommendation on here from another traveler. Thanx for the tip!!! Great food & drinks staff easygoing and unrushed. Had a chill day hanging out snorkeling eating & going in caves. Saw lots enjoyed the spectacular views.  One very spoiled cat lounged with us making us laugh

Poor customer service. Fridge is not included instead has to be rented at a separate price. Feel as if i was at aMotel. Would Not Recommend. Refund is not applicable. Pictures are provided.

This was my 5th time staying at Xtabi in Sea Cottage #4.  So I knew to expect some rustic accommodations.  But this place has unfortunately gone wayyyy down hill which is such a bummer because it has such an amazing location.  Cottage #4 has never exactly been the cleanest, but this time is was just downright dirty.  There were layers of dust on several surfaces, piles of sand on the floor that had been swept...but never put in the trash, the bathroom wasn't very clean either.   The garbage was not taken away each day and would draw ants (I know this is a tropical island...but take the garbage when you come to clean!) Two of us were staying there and had to pretty much beg for a towel and washcloth EACH day.  One evening after still not having been left a  washcloth (after several times asking)  I went to the front desk and asked AGAIN and was handed a dirty one that a gentleman found behind the counter.  It had rust all over it.  I honestly couldn't believe it.  Also they maids did not leave enough toilet paper.  We ran out and and would have to go ask for more EVERY SINGLE TIME. 

We wanted to play cards outside and the lights did not work, we did ask for someone to come fix it and they sent someone finally on the 5th (and final) day we were there.  I used to eat most meals at Xtabi when I was staying there....not anymore.  The food isn't what it used to be either.  

This all makes me so sad...because it was one of my favorite places in the world.  But there are much nicer places you can stay on the cliffs for the same price. I may go back to visit for a day to snorkel but don't think I will be back as a guest unless things changed.

Ate at at Xtabi this years for the first time aster it being recommended  several tinges in past years.
I have to say that it was one of the weaker meal meals that we ate of the 14 days, The stuffed chicken was well over cooked

Instead of going to Rick's, we went here. It was OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE. Take the stairs down on each side to the caves that oead to the water. My wife who hates everything, absolutely loved the french Fries at this place. CLIFF Jumping was outstanding, and the caves toped it off.
