Best Ryokan I have ever stayed in Japan

It's a quietly nestled ryokan amid nature. The scenery is, of course, splendid, but the cuisine and service are also excellent, making it a ryokan you'd want to visit over and over again. You can enjoy beautiful snowscapes here. Even without snow, you can still feel the changing seasons, though the

    A Truly Exceptional Experience

I only stayed for one night with my husband and we both agreed that this was the best part of our 2.5 week trip in Japan, which was a pretty amazing trip regardless. But Zaborin just blew us away. They are the epitome of luxury hospitality. There is such a meticulous level of care they put into maki

    Magical

A warm magical ryokan experience, ranks among the top places we’ve ever stayed at. Everything from the room to the service to the food was amazing. Each room has a private indoor and outdoor onsen!! Dinner (many courses) and breakfast (full Japanese) was included in the nightly rate when we visited.

    Simply Excellent

My best luxury ryokan experience and probably the best reward to myself to celebrate my milestone birthday. The location is a great escape from the urban jungle and is completely Zen and truly peaceful allowing for some self reflection and self care. My room was wrapped with outdoor natural scenes e

Serenity and privacy in the middle of a forest

We stayed 3 nights at Zaborin right at the beginning of the pandemic. And I have to say, 3 nights did not feel enough, I wished we stayed longer.

We flew into Sapporo and took the local train to the town, which I highly recommend to do! Once we arrived to the train station, Zaborin picked us up pr

    Tranquil and perfect

We stayed for three nights at the beginning of December. We flew in Sapporo and then it was a couple hour drive to the property. I think Zaborin is a great choice on the food alone, but the Ryokan itself is very peaceful with beautiful surrounding views in the winter. Breakfast and dinner are provid

    Shiki-Shima Train Tour

This has to be the best hotel I have ever used. It suits my taste very well. Big bed room, nice family room, separate toilets, balcony to view the forest while relaxing with drinks or tea and forget the rest of the world. There are big indoor as well as outdoor hot spring bath tub in your own room

An incredibly special stay - stunning architecture, great location and perfect service.

    Overview

I cannot explain how amazing this place is - I’d seen it before and thought it looked absolutely amazing (and it was in reality) but finding that this was an option for the Train Suite Shiki-Shima overnight hotel stay meant the choice was made. Depending on your suite category onboard the t

Modernist ryokan in a tranquil setting cleanses the soul (and the purse)

Visiting this ryokan at its off peak season (hence with a more forgiving damage to purse). It is fair for its popularity during winter time if one does not mind paying a Niseko premium for the privacy. Hiding deep in the mountains, the zen aura of Zaborin manages to top the charts of ryokan in the

    Highly recommended

Zaborin was the second stop of our holiday in Japan. We Stayed here for 2 nights. My parent and I had a suite called Yoshisu with additional tatami room. The view from our suite was stunning. I did enjoy the beautiful sunrise while relaxing the private onsen bath. The downside of the suite was that
