We visited for the new year skiing purpose. We booked a little early and secured excellent rates for two twin rooms of very good size in Japanese standard. The beds are unfortunately quite old although it does not realistically affect the sleeping quality. Japanese rooms look very sizeable and comfortable though.

Breakfast included in the price is of common buffet style. The quality of breakfast is the best you can expect to find. We are not bored even after 5 days. Dinner is not included in our rates, which you need to book in advance and is quite pricey. We have not tried and cannot comment on it. There are restaurants in Inawashiro-Machi within 20 minutes of driving distance, as well as a big supermarket namely Lion D’or.

Onsen is good including a sauna and outdoor onsen but not exceptional.

The hotel offers discounted lift pass and ski rental which are far cheaper than Alts Bandai and Inawashiro. The skiing slopes are more suitable for intermediates and beginners. With this as a base and rented ski equipment here, we skied here as well as the other two resorts. This turned out to be unexpected savings for us.

Exceeding Expectations 

We stayed here for 1 night in early March. We had a 24hr stay, so dinner, breakfast and lunch were included the price. The hotel is a bit old, but the room is spacious and they also have public bath (onsen) in it. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions regarding the area. As I said, the hotel itself is a bit old, carpets are worn out and also our sink in the bathroom had a crack on. Anyway, we enjoyed staying here, and also it was very convenient, since it took only a min to get to the ski lifts.
