 We arrived late in the evening after 9:30pm after a 3 hour JR train trip from the airport. The check-in process was quick and easy as already had the booking prepared for the front desk. The front desk gave you a map of the hotel to show where everything was located. The staff were friendly and efficient and even took us to show where the onsen was located if we're interested in using it. There was a separate onsen for men and women.
 We then went to our rooms and it had traditional bedding which was an experience in itself. It was different and interesting in itself to sleep on traditional bedding.
 The bathroom itself was quite small so if there were two people in there it was quite crowded.
 If you want a different experience try the onsen the traditional way with no clothes or as they say "When in Rome....". There were two onsen one outdoors and one indoors. I tried the indoors one and it was nice and relaxing and quite warm. After soaking in the onsen you need to wash yourself with a shower and you sit down and wash yourself. There are soaps and shampoo provided to wash yourself down.
 There was a Lawson store a couple minutes walk from the hotel if you wanted a snack. If you wanted to go to the City centre it is best to get a taxi or otherwise it is a one hour walk. The taxi fare was just under 2000 yen. 

My hotel stay. 

We stayed there for two night.
The location is at the Yunagawa onsen area. It is not near the town area. Good thing we had a car so traveling was easy and there was not much traffic when we were there over a weekend.

Wifi is only available in the lobby of the hotel. So we had to come down to the lobby to surf the Internet.
The room was already prepared with the futon beds when we checked in. Hotel is old but clean. The toilet is very small. 

Breakfast was good if you like Japanese food. There is no Western style breakfast.- no bread or cereal. For an idea on what the breakfast look like, it is the same as the pictures posted by other reviewers. Basically, you get a piece of fish and egg omelette and other side dishes. The highlight would be the the 'buffet' style of fish roe and fresh scallop that you can help yourselves with.

The staff speak limited English but am giving this a 4 star because they were very helpful. They offered the hotel's umbrella when they saw that it was going to rain. When we asked for directions on where to go n eat, they took out the maps n showed us how to go. We felt welcomed to the hotel. 

We did not use the onsen. However, we saw many local tourist staying in the hotel.

Clean hotel, location not in town area

This is a nice Onsen that is out by the ocean and about 20 minutes away from the main train station.

Having stayed here I note that wifi is only available in the reception area an not on the rooms, the rooms are also very warm but you can open a window to cool the room down if needed.

All staff are very nice and this is a great place to go for an Onsen.
