They had no food for allergies. Very poor breakfast might as well not be there. Ate elsewhere. But location is nice. Easy access to shopping area and harbour views. Room is tiny and cheap looking but clean.

Good location. Nothing more. Nothing less.

So night and day difference from this branch and sendai one.  This one the service was good.  Front desk was able to move get us non smoking for entire stay.  Originally they had none when we booked 2 months ago.  They also recommended a good restaurant close by.  Breakfast was good.  Local squid specialty and natto every morning.  Great stay.  Rooms are a bit dated and with hard beds but typical businessman hotel.  I would stay again.

We been there for couple trip, room big enough for us, location not far from public transport tram/jr and not far from morning market and also interresting place around harbour. Room including breakfast and it useful for morning food.

Good

A typical Toyoko inn. Within walking distance from the Hakodate rail station. This time it has the added advantage of being next door to Hakodate ‘s main attraction- the morning seafood market. The room is very small, but well equipped. It has all the basic amenities, air-conditioning, bathtub, refrigerator, flat-screen TV, etc. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Everything seems new. The colour code of yellow/orange however still looks unpleasant to me. There are only limited choices for breakfast, but adequate, and it is complimentary. Overall, excellent value for money.

Stayed from 02-04 Nov 2018, booked a double room from Expedia at about S$50 per night.

Location :very close to the Hakodate JR station and bus terminal where u can take buses to Mount Hakodate and Kosetsuen. Walking is abt 3-5mins. U can’t missed it. :)
Just beside the morning market . 

Check -in: I reached hotel at around 5.30pm and it was already very dark , feels like 8pm cos sunset was pretty early at 4.30pm. It’s a long day of traveling for me after a 7 hours flight from SIN to CTS and another 45 mins flight from CTS to HKD. Fortunately , check in was fast and seamless. I joined the membership as it was quite a good deal. JPY 1,500 for lifetime membership.

Room and amenities: good size room by Japan standard. I only have a small luggage, so it’s no prob for me.bed is comfy but pillow is a bit uncomfortable. I prefer softer and fluffy pillow. Toilet size is quite standard for japan .... it’s the same custom built toilet which is also seen in my stay in Kyoto and Okinawa hostel... so I’m ok with the size , it’s fully functional with Japanese toilet bowl (full heater and bidget function), bath tub , washing basin. Toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo , conditioner and shower gel is provided . Good quality kind . Hair dryer , flat screen TV, closet chair , clock , standing lights , Aircon heater, mini fridge , mirrors . Perfect for ppl traveling light. It’s all provided.

Breakfast is of high standard and yummy too !

Overall: for me , I didn’t drive and I’m a female traveling solo... location and safety is essential for me. This hotel fits my requirements.

Highly recommended 

Cheap and good stay for solo travellers 

This hotel is located within 3 min walk from JR Hakodate station. The room is completely the same as other Toyoko Inn hotels, very comfortable. There is a morning market nearby the hotel and you can see alive fish and crabs. Also you can have see food as breakfast.
The price of this hotel is reasonable. It should be noted that hotel breakfast is free and very very nice, they serve several healthy local food.
If you go to this hotel from the airport, it takes 20 min by bus, 450 yen.
Totally I recommend this hotel for tourists and businessmen.

Good location and comfortable stay

It is 5 mins walk from the train station and the morning Market is just next to the hotel. The breakfast provided is good but always packed. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I ever visit Hakodate again.
