We stayed off site a bit at the studio apartment and it was nice! We had access to a washer and dryer although the dryer was a couple blocks away. Very tiny but directly in front of the beach! The owner was great! He picked us up at the train station and gave us the lay of the land which was super helpful! He also took us back to the train station on the way out.

I've been all over the world and will continue to see and do as much as I can whilst I can, but when it's all said and done, I honestly believe that Dane & Co/Splash will be in my top 3 spots in terms of accommodation. 

If you want to experiance Japan in terms of temples, onsons, hikes, but without the crowds Katsurra is fantastu, but if you surf, paddle board and/or just a soul of the sea this is the place to be in Japan.  The swell pumps and from what I saw/experianced the line is never too crowded and Dane (host) is one hell of a surfer and better yet teacher and I'm sure we'll keep in touch going forward where I can't say that about many other places I've stayed at.

if you're looking for beachfront acom. in Chiba, Japan, this place is right on the beach!

super friendly, family run and very reasonable price too!

Katsuura city has many hidden beaches, ask the host, Dane for a tour or rent a bike and go out exploring!

both guest rooms are right on the beach front, one is Japanese style (beds on the floor), the other is western style (regular western style beds)

nice place to stay, RIGHT on the beach!!

Very gracious and friendly hosts. Host speaks fluent English. Very clean bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Plenty of privacy as the host's residence is on other side of bathroom/bath area.  Kitchen and bathroom are shared but maintained well and kept very clean.  The house is right on Hebara Beach, a surfing/paddle boarding beach not a swimming beach, and host offers lessons if you want to book with him. The swimming beach Onjuku is just a 10-15 drive away and host offers reasonable car service for drop off/pick up if you want to book with him. We used host for drop off to Onjuku beach; and for return we wanted to explore so we strolled to Onjuku station, took train to Katsuura station (1 stop over), and grabbed taxi to the house. Either station is close to property about 10-15 minute taxi drive. I paid $12.00 USD for taxi from Katsuura station to the house, host rate for drop off to Onjuku was less. 
I highly recommend this beach house if you are in the area as it is clean, quiet, and access to Onjuku beach was quite easy.  Close by you will find public clothes dryers (worked well), a 7-11, and Denny's. It met our needs and we had a very relaxing 2 night stay. 

Great beach stay

stayed here in march while backpacking through japan. we have been travelling for two month at that point and there was the first time we felt like home. great place and greatest hosts.
P.S. Has a first class break Hebaraba outside the window. what else can you ask for?
