We were looking for some space to spend 3 nights in the Lake Kawaguchiko area and this accommodation did not disappoint, particularly with its uninterrupted views of Mt Fuji from the bedroom, bathroom, dining area and back verandah.  The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a Lawson and separately, a large supermarket just a 10-15 minute walk away with all the supplies you need. The host doesn’t speak English well but Google Translate is your friend and he kindly picks you and up and drops you back to Kawaguchiko Station.  You have the option for western beds or traditional bedding. The western bed mattresses were comfy with good back support and the pillows were on the softer side which we prefer.  We took advantage of the free bike hire with this accommodation and just cycling around the lake, particularly during golden hour, was truly magic.  Being able to wash and dry our clothes on site was very handy.  We bought a 2 day tourist bus pass from Kawaguchiko Station and one of the bus stops (on the green line) is located very near the road entrance to this accommodation.  For those looking for convenient, self-contained and spacious accommodation, I would highly recommend Villa May Queen.  

Excellent self-contained accommodation with great views of Mt Fuji 

Clean and modern, self-contained accommodation close to Mt Fuji.

We stayed in the larger house, as we were a group of 6. Only 2 "western" beds in this house, the rest were traditional beds.

The lounge was quite small and really only fit 3-4 of us big Aussies.

Complimentary bikes were great. Baseball batting cage close by,  which was fun. Also a convenience store within a short walk.

We got to see Mt Fuji from the property, which was simply breath taking. From here, it's a short drive up to Station 5.

No laundry facilities and a downstairs mirror would be a nice addition.

We enjoyed our stay here, and would stay here again. 

Great Family Accom for Viewing Mt Fuji

This is a fantastic place to stay! You have a whole chalet with all amenities and the host even picks you up / drops you off at the station, welcomes you with wine and takes you to the supermarket to get shopping for your stay in his car. You're right by the lake and a view of Mount Fuji from your balcony / garden. Bikes are there to borrow if you wish for free and wifi connection is great. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Amazing place and great view

Stayed here for two nights before departing for Tokyo city. I must say that it didn't disappoint us at all. We could see Mt. Fuji from our villa; in the living room, bedrooms and even toilet! It's a two storey villa with all the basic necessities. You can even cook your own meals and there's even a bbq pit out in the yard facing Mt Fuji! 
Owner was friendly; he explained to us from A to Z, and was also helpful in guiding us on how to get around the place. The villa is also surrounded by the famous Kawaguchiko Lake and you can also cycle around it with the bicycles provided by the Villa. All in all, I would recommend it to everyone n anyone, who wants to try n experience something different from staying in a hotel in Kawaguchiko. 

Awesome stay with a view!!!

This place comprises 3 stand-alone 2 storey "houses" all of which have great views of Mount Fuji from the ground floor living room and the upstairs bedroom.  

The layout is living room and open kitchen on the ground floor with a separate toilet.  Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom.  The bedroom in our unit had 2 single beds plus a tatami mat area for 2 more persons sleeping on futons.  However the 2 areas are not separated by a curtain or screen so if the 4 travellers are not of one family it lacks privacy.  In the end we moved the futons down to the living room.

The owner was very helpful and gave us directions to the local supermarket and places of interest.  One night we had a BBQ on the porch and the owner fired up the charcoal and all we had to do was cook and eat.
