We had really good time.
The owner really cares about the customers and is doing everything to make them comfortable.

When we stayed at the place, there was a typhoon going on, which was a plan ruiner, but thanks to the owner it was one of the best days we had in japan. He made sure we have everything, took us to see the sunrise and helped us book a bus when we had to continue our trip.

More than that, the rooms are big and very clean, the breakfast is great and the location is perfect.

Don't think twice, book as soon as you can!

Great time at kawaguchi

Teppei is a wonderful host and will go out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. His English is perfect and is happy and proud to advise on things to do in the locality. The breakfast is delicious and varies each morning and the house is a gorgeous place to relax with views across the lake and views of Mt Fuji.

wonderful host, beautiful house

This property is in a beautiful lakeside location, with good amenities and a fantastic host in Teppe.   A short taxi ride from the station in Kawaguchiko, the property has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Fuji five lakes area. It's on one of the sightseeing bus routes, enabling good access to all the lakes. If you're lucky enough to get a clear day, the view of Mount Fuji is simply breathtaking - our view was fleeting but impressive.
Teppe is just about the most attentive host I have ever come across.  He is genuinely interested in his guests and wants them all to have a great time in the area.  He makes personal recommendations for restaurants and unprompted will contact them to make sure they are available and have space.  There are bikes to rent, and we had a beautiful morning cycling round Kawaguchiko lake.  The hot tub is fantastic, particularly after a day's cycling. I would thoroughly recommend this place, and only wish that we had been able to stay longer.

Great location; hearty welcome and wonderful host.

We spent three nights here and enjoyed every  minute. Tepe is a great host and made us feel welcome from the moment  we arrived. He is extremely helpful and the Inn is ideally situated beside the lake with a wonderful view of Mount Fuji. Would  recommend the inn to all travellers.

Delightful, friendly, great location

Our family of 6 stayed 2 nights in the standard loft and triple room. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and kept commenting what an amazing little place it was. It's one of our favourite bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in.

The main reason for this was the hospitality of the owner Teppei and his wife (and 3 young sons) Teppei studied in Canada so communicating in english was easy and he went out of his way to ensure our plans for sightseeing and our onward journey was organised. As an attentive host he reserved seats on our bus, checked timetables for us and ordered taxis. 

But then he went above and beyond any other owner we've met, going out of his way to be attentive and kind. He dropped us in his 7 seater to the bus stop, sake brewery and offered to take us to the ropeway as it was nearly closing time. 2 other family members were staying nearby and he dropped their luggage off and offered to take them back in the evening. To echo another commenter here, we don't want to raise expectations too high in case he is too busy to provide the same service to others, but this extreme kindness was what made our stay so amazing. 

A hearty breakfast is cooked by the owners, and is different every day. We had eggs (scrambled one day and fried the next), soup, salad or veggies, fruit and yoghurt. You can also help yourself to tea, coffee, bread, juice and cereal. Hot and cold water is available at any time.

Regarding rooms, be prepared for smallish room sizes and bathrooms (however this was a tiny inconvenience due to the amazing time we had). To access the loft you need to climb up a ladder but you are rewarded with a perfect view of Mt Fuji through the window! Rooms are clean with all amenities provided (towels, body wash, shampoo and toothbrushes). There's an additional amenities including a public toilet, onsen bath and mini bar where Teppei will serve and recommend some local sake. 

Location wise, Weekend Shuffle is located on the north side of the lake, 10 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko Station (or a 45 minute walk which we did one evening!). We loved walking around the peaceful neighbourhood and 7/11 and Lawsons are less than 10 mins away. The lake and is a stones throw away and you have a perfect view of Mt Fuji from the living/dining space on a clear day. 

Bus stops for local buses and the sightseeing buses are located less than 10 minutes walk away too. 

We can't rave about this place enough as it made our stay in Kawaguchiko an unforgettable experience. Thank you Teppei and family!

Excellent hospitality

I highly recommend this place as a wonderful bed and breakfast experience. The owner is super kind and can communicate well in both English and Japanese. Our room was clean and comfortable. The weather was nice and we could see Mt. Fuji from the front window! The owner gave us sightseeing advice, and he delivered our bags to the bus station for pick up before we left. Also, we were lucky to stay on New Year's Eve, as the owner cooked a very special new year traditional breakfast food. Once in a lifetime experience. We felt like guests in a friend's home. Wonderful lakeside guesthouse/hotel. Close walking distance from the Music Forest Museum.

Perfect bed and breakfast experience!

I would like to thank the owner of the hotel for his hospitality. He speaks great English since he stayed in Canada for a while, so communication is not a problem at all. The hotel itself is on the north side of the Kawaguchiko town and is in a very quiet neighborhood. We went on a day when it rained early in the morning, but cleared up later in the day. Mount Fuji was 100% visible the next morning, so the owner decided to take us somewhere in the mountain (not Fuji) to see the sunrise and Fuji, then drove us lakeside to get more good pictures.

Great Stay

The owner is so friendly and take care. The room is comfortable, clean and fully equipment. Coffee, hot water, cool water have free service all day.

So good

1.the location is perfect to see Mt fuji, both in house or outdoor!!! the north coast walking trail only 1 mins far.....no more better place.......
2.super helpful and friendly owner, english & japanese both very OK. even help us deliver our luggage to nextday's hotel, super kind!! (by the way, next day was very cloudy，so we see completely nothing, but the room fee is 4 times as weekend shuffle.....see Mt fuji totally depends on the weather....)
3.the room is very clean, warm, quiet, essential  great facilities and easy to use. single bed maybe a little bit small for tall people, but it's fine for me( normal size....haha) 
4.tasty breakfast, the scrambled eggs are impressive!!! 
5.the house itself also very beautiful, good choice for taking pictures.
6.transport is very convenient. two bus from kawaguchi station, momiji tunner is walking distance. easy to find restaurants.
