We booked online and travelled to Hanamaki by train .
We were picked up at the station by the Onsens bus , it is then about a 35 minute ride through the lovely countryside up into the mountains.
Greeted warmly by all the staff and booking in went smoothly.
Our spacious room was on the 2nd. Floor, it had a lovely view out over the sloping gardens and river, Reception is on the 4th. floor and the hot spring baths are on the basement floor .
There is a nice 40 minute walking track around the resort that we did before having a bath, they gave us a walking stick each with little bells on it  to keep the bears away, it is a lovely walk through nice garden and forest areas, plenty of good photo opportunities.
The hot baths were very good, water temperature was between 40 to 42 degrees, very relaxing , there is everything you need at the baths, like body soap, shampoo, conditioner.hair brush and combs, hairdryer.
As per normal they provide the yukata’s to wear to the baths and around the hotel for meals etc .
They gave us a sparkling wine welcome drink and there were free icypoles anytime you wanted down in the nice lounge near reception.
There is a gift shop there as well .
Dinner was partly on the table set out for you then you just partook of a great smorgasboard spread , plenty of variety, scrumptious.
Breakfast was a smorgasboard, again very very good 
The resort bus took us back to Hanamaki station at 9 am. Next morning after five staff members came out and gave us a rousing goodbye, A fabulous stay , we should have been staying longer, Highly recommended.

A great experience

A great onsen hotel. The bathing options were good and the backyard garden was nice. Food was decent. It was unfortunate that we visited during peak season and the hotel was a bit crowded - the hotel itself was quite huge. But I was impressed by the staff still trying to answer every request with enthusiasm by the many guests they were helping. My only complaint is that the hotel is a bit far from the train station - but the hotel provides free shuttle in any event.

Great Stay

Hanamaki (where this hotel is located) is quite secluded.  Not your usual super touristy place like other famous major onsen towns, but still very well-known to local japanese.

GENERAL:
I selected this hotel after researching for many options in Hanamaki.  I travelled alone, so onsen hotels that would take 1 person in a single japanese style room was rare.  This was the only one that offered such a room (6 tatami mats in size) with toilet and bathroom.  And i got a good deal, 9000yen with dinner and breakfast.

TRANSPORTATION:
Getting to hotel was easy.  I took their free shuttle bus from the Shin-Hanamaki station, and the ride took about 40 min.  I was greeted at the door by their staff helping to carry bags to the front desk.  They were very courteous.

CHECK-IN:
Fast and efficient.  Explained everything to me in detail, and reminded me of the shuttle bus trip during check out.  Don't forget to reserve a seat for the shuttle bus back to the station at the time of check-in.

ROOM:
Clean and well equipped.  My room was on a higher floor.  Even though facing the main entrance (main road), it was quite quiet in the evening even though i had the windows opened.  Note that rooms have no wifi, you will need to go to the lobby for free-wifi.  Not a great problem for me as i spend most of time trying out the various onsens.

ONSEN:
3 sets of onsens to choose from, rotating between men and women at diff times of day.  You should really to check-in early so you have the chance to try all the diff onsens.  They have outdoor and indoor baths for each.  And the outdoor baths have diff options too, eg. personal tub, public bath by the river, etc.  So each bath gives diff experience.  Very cool ! 

FOOD:
Dinner was japanese set dinner, which was served in a section of the function room next to the main ballroom.  Not sure if this is regular arrangement or just due to my stay/package.  Nevertheless, food was good, amble variety from sushi to shabu-shabu.  Not super extravagant in terms of food choices (won't expect with that price tag), but still very tasty and great service.  Tea/Coffee, dessert, rice and soup were self-served.

Breakfast was impressive though.  Buffet style with many many choices, from western to local japanese.  I thought for that price tag, it would be just usual stuff with limited choices, but i was wrong.  However, do arrive early as the breakfast was served in a big hall and it could get quite busy in the morning.

CHECK-OUT:
Check-out was fast and smooth.  I got onto the shuttle bus which i reserved a seat during check-in and i was taken back to Shin-Hanamaki station promptly.   

OVERALL:
Great price for what you get.  A well-run hotel with well-equipped room (even the smallest ones).  Good food, good service.  And many onsens to try.  I will definitely come back again and recommend to my friends.  Where can you find an onsen hotel for 9000 yen with two meals with this setting for a solo-traveller ?! THUMBS UP !

Great service, lots to offer with a bargain price

The Free bus operates from Shinhanamaki Station to many hotels in the area and the hotel is the last one(it takes one hour). The dinner was very delicious specially local food Pork. There are three different Onsen and eah onsen has several bathes so it took me time to enter in all the baths available.Onsen near the river was the best.
You can walk the garden walkway backside of the hotel and continue to the paved road and back to the hotel and takes 40minutes. The heart mark monument on the hill in  the garden is a mirror so you can take yourself reflecting in the mirror together with the hotel. The room I stay though is the cheapest one for one person so not so comfortable and I felt smell which vanished after air cleaning. It may be better to book  more expensive ones.

Highly Recommendable

Nice hot springs next to a stream & surrounded by mountains, gourmet meals, and attentive staff, this hotel bears all the hallmarks of a typical traditional Japanese onsen resort. It is big, hosting tens of guests yet still not feeling crowded. There is free shuttle pick-up to and from Hanamki JR station. We spent a leisurely weekend there. Our only disappointment is that due to the bad weather, we’re unable to launch the sky lanterns (fire balloons), which is a key attraction of the hotel. Hanamaki is a bit out of the way amid the many hot tourist locations in Japan. But if you do happen to be in the region, this hotel is worth a short stay.

Traditional Onsen Resort

There are many types of accomodation in Japan however you can enjoy Japanese
style hotel with hot SPA at Airinkan in Hanamaki city, North-east of Japan.
The temperature of original hot springs in the hotel is around 70℃ containing many minerals. Therefore it is good for health to take a bath of SPA and is popular among
Japanese people traditionally.

真的很棒的溫泉設備和庭園，景觀很好，非常推薦。The hot spring is incredibly excellent. There are many different kinds of pool where people can enjpy. The staffs were quite friendly. Besides those good advantages, there is a garden which is pleasant and nice.  You can spend all day there. They even gave my mother a present for her birthday for a surprise. We were very happy to stay there.  It's more than 4 stars of satisfaction. I would recommend this hotel for people who want to relax for a nice vacation. 

Amazing hot spring! Great river view!

Details: one night's solo stay in late December.  Customer service was deluxe from start (valet parking) to finish (never-ending farewell waves).  The property was very clean, inside and out.  

The Japanese-style room was comfortable and more than adequate, albeit cozy (six tatami mats) by Western standards.  Internet was available on the main floor lounge of the hotel, but not in the lodgings.  

The baths were overall varied, imaginative, and wonderful!  There are two sets of gender-segregated baths, both indoors and out in the air (rotenburo) .  The two baths are different and both offer different treats.  Since they are assigned to men and women at different times (i.e. afternoon/evening vs. morning), you need to visit the baths during both time windows to take in the full effect.  That's not a terrible hardship!  

The food (both dinner and breakfast) featured a typical and very tasty Japanese-style bounty of small plates of fish (raw and cooked), vegetables, pickles, soup, rice, mystery custard, and some  animal protein.  Dinner is a scripted menu, while breakfast is served as a buffet. 

Airinkan was clean and bright.  The complementary offerings of juice and coffee in the pretty lounge were a nice extra touch.  Staff members contributed to a happy, positive karma.
