Very comfortable ryokan a short drive from the train station and bus station. We were picked up at the train station and were warmly greeted at the inn. Our room was spacious and had a very pleasant outdoor bath. It was very relaxing sitting in the bath listening to rainfall on the wooden cover. Nice toiletries provided. Beds were comfortable and provide a good nights sleep. Dinner was sukiyaki with excellent wavy along with delicious appetizers and a dessert. The Japanese breakfast was also excellent. The staff here are outstanding and made us feel right at home the whole time. Reluctantly we had to move on after one night but an extended stay here while visiting the area would have been very enjoyable.

Relaxing stay with great service

Yadoya Ohashi didn't let us down for our very first ryokan experience! Locally operated, this small ryokan compensates its size with attentive service and delicious local gourmet. 

Our room was petite with a giant sofa overlooking the outdoor onsen, the onsen is big enough for 2-3 people and with a peaceful, authentic setting. The beds were located on the attic, which I found quite difficult to climb especially in the dark. Yet the beddings are comfy and it's nice to hear bird chirping around sunrise. 

We had our breakfast and dinner in the same private room, spacious and overlooking the garden. The sukiyaki dinner was a nice surprise - they offered authentic local wagyu beef that melt into your mouth! The breakfast was very decent as well with boiling hot miso soup as the perfect ending. 

The ryokan pool is full of koi where the guests can feed them with prepared food. We were lucky to see some autumn leaves in the garden, feeling zen energy flowing!

I'd recommend this ryokan for couple who seek for a getaway.

Blissful experience!

1.Good service of kindly staff. They can provide free shuttle from train station<->Hotel.
Call them before 17:30. (There is telephone booth in train station.)
After you book the reservation,can contact with hotel by e-mail.
They will give you their phone number.
2.This a great hotel that if you don't like use the hot spring with other people.
3.If you are vegetarian,could consider that book the room package only include breakfast.(And e-mail to them,request the special breakfast.)

We really had a wonderful stay!!!

It's our first visit to ryokan and Yadoya Ohashi gave us a memorable experience. They arranged pick-up service at train station and the driver offered to stop at a picturistique spot and took pic for us with the farm and Mt.Yufuin. Our room was spacious and we adored the open bath with Mt Yufuin view and a little jap style garden. Everything in the room was nicely arranged. All staff were very helpful and thoughtful. They attended to our allergy request and adjusted their menu accordingly. I suggest guests to visit town after they check out the hotel to enjoy the maximum of their stay in the ryokan.

Excellent experience !!

The room is super big and clean. Very comfortable and quiet environment. Both dinner and breakfast are great! A5 beef is delicious. Overall price is reasonable, with super nice service! Will visit again with my family next time.

The property offers the most serene landscape, whether its the view of the mountains from your private room or their Koi-stocked Japanese pond.  The peacefulness that is hard to find can be relished here with full WiFi because let's face it we're not cave dwellers and are social creatures at heart.  Each room is replete with its own hot spring fed cement pool and that extends to the hot water or cold water being fed into said pool; and it extends to your shower or Japanese bath.  You would be remiss not to stay at this Onsen while in Yufu.  The staff is gracious and speak English.  Their front desk manager, who is extremely hospitable, can make arrangements for private tours of the entire vicinity at whatever your budget may be. The complimentary Kaiseki dinners and lunches are out of this world both in terms of creation and presentation, and you will not leave the table hungary.  On offer is their myriad of Sake selections from the region with which one must indulge while here.  Again a quintessentially serene property with the most gorgeous views straight out of your room.
