I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner while visiting Hiroshima for the first time.
I’m unsure why this hotel has such a high rating from booking.com
I was surprised when we checked in as the hotel staff were not very friendly, the room was extremely dated, the bed was very small and uncomfortable, the pillows were paper thin and the walls were also so thin we could hear EVERYTHING happening on our floor and the rooms next to us.

We were kept up both nights from listening to the rooms next to us partying and talking all night. 
I’m unsure if my floor was a “smoking” floor but the room smelt of cigarettes.
Bath towels were thin.

Only positives were the nice hot shower and decent WiFi.

Would not recommend this hotel. 

In need of an upgradd

I stayed here for two nights and it was an average stay. This was probably my worst stay in Japan but that does not mean it was a bad one. The rooms were not as clean as others, the bathroom is tiny even for Japan. It is more of a hostel I think rather than a hotel as they have a whole hostel-type area. There is lots to eat and drink in the area and it is very close to the train and tram station so access around the city is easy although it is only about a 25 minute walk to the Hiroshima Peace Park. Good value for money but I would probably upgrade to a better property if I were here again. It serves its job, location is good for access, amenities abound outside. I cannot fault this hotel I just cannot praise it.

Standard Japanese hotel, good access to transport

Lauberge Hiroshima Peace Hotel is quite well located, just opposite Yokogawa JR Bath Station (only a few stops from Hiroshima Main Station if you arrive from another city), about thirty minutes' walk from the Peace Memorial Park (very nice walk along the river). The staff is smiling and made an effort to be friendly but hardly speak English and it is therefore very difficult to make themselves heard and communicate.

Very basic

across the road from the rail and tram stations, clean comfy rooms,  friendly staff, close to attractions.
Ate at Akamaru, very good food at reasonable price, staff are young and lively and pleasant very obliging.

I stayed 3 days at hotel.
I am alone and I like backer.
Near the bus station and tram station.
Location is great place.
The stiffs are very kindly and helpful.
Male's rooms are roomy and clean.
Bath rooms are narrow. But very cleans.
Wifi is everywhere ok.
The bed is hard as a rock.
The building is old.
But, I can stay very cheap.
Hot spring poor is excellent but small.
Over tall would stay again.



Very cheap and excellent hotel

It is located in an area not far from the bomb memorial and the downtown area, which can also be reached on foot. The room is quite wide; a double with two single beds, but furnished very simply. The bathroom is not very comfortable, it has a steep enough staircase to access it. The bathroom looks like a prefabricated monoblock. The documents in the room and in the hotel are exclusively written in Japanese. The hotel is economical, but overall far from Western standards.

Perfect location next to the JR train station two stops from Hiroshima Shinkansen, perfect for travelers who travel in backpacks. It's small and cozy, they don't speak very well English but you get to understand it, between laughs. It's like a hotel capsule, but in rooms. We were 3 and were given a room of 4 (because it was between weeks and they had some free). It's in a literary setting, with an individual curtain and your own table and light if you want to read. There are keyboards in the room for more people. The lakes are shared. Aside from being a perfect location in terms of proximity to the train station, it's only a 15-minute walk from the Peace Memorial Park, where you can lose all the memories, there's a children's room and there's a memorial explosion that can cause the explosion of the Hiroshima and Miyazaki museums.

Very well situated!

Decent quality, clean and English speaking personal. However no usual amenities provided appart from slippers. Therefore price quality ratio is low. Would expect also to have cheaper access to the public bath. 

Decent quality no extra service or amenities

It's pretty easy to get to in front of JR yokogawa station. The staff is nice but they don't speak much English. They can keep your luggage if you need it. The room is quite small but functional except for one detail: the power sockets are on the opposite side of the bed which is not convenient for charging and using your appliances.

Good for one or two nights max.

The two combined give a hotel nice enough to have a good dodo:p The bed is comfortable, the hemp gives the charm of Japan (tatami, sliding door). Only the small point, the showers and toilets are not in the rooms, and it is difficult to catch the wifi in the rooms.
