The chalets were average, neat and clean with a tea/coffee station. No iron.  The location was excellent close to shopping, entertainment on the beach and around the area.  Breakfast was average. Water was smelly..must use bottled water, 2 bottles complimentary water provided daily.

Montein House-good location

The hotel is at some distance from the trainstation. They offer to bring you to the station thought that would be nice to know if you arrive in Kitakami. The staff is professional and speaks english as you might expect. The hotel had a couple of bicycles which you can use to explore Kitakami. The room has all the necessities you need and is clean. 
In the lobby you can get your free coffee and tea.

Businesshotel as you expect

The staff are highly professional and respectful. Complimentary pick-up from station and drop-off to the riverboat for the sakura park experience, traditional village, museum and river walk - not be missed. The roof top spa with outdoor and indoor pools, sauna and massage chair made this hotel extra special in addition to being in the middle of several restaurants, large stores and a fun park. Comfy rooms for standard double though expecting a little bigger from previous reviews. Super views from high rooms and the rooftop. Definitely bigger rooms than many in Japan in the same category. Great on tap coffee and black tea, and other nice touches in the room. It is very close to highway so open window is not an option and windows are rather small and high.

Many Extras to Make it a Great Stay

Stayed overnight and staff were very accomodating and friendly. Offered to take us to kitakami park with their shuttle and picked us up where we were with just a phone call. Buffet breakfast was great and reasonably priced. Gave us a complimentary boat ride to cross the river. 

Excellent service 

Every Time when i travel, i stay in the Montein in. I am a Service technician from Germany. The Breakfast is really big and wonderful. For my business it is very important to have a good internet connection and here i have the best in whole Japan. Rooms are good and the price is cheap.
