Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Good sized rooms, great location. They run a free shuttle to and from Kyoto Station throughout the day, which is really nice. We had the traditional Japanese breakfast room service and it was a nice treat. They also offer in room shiatsu massage, which was really nice, especially after a long day sightseeing. Thank you!

WELCOMING STAFF

The communication was very easy and they gave us all instruction to reach the apartment fast from the station (only 15 minutes).
The apartments are clean and have all what you need.

Cheap and central apartment

Early April is peak Sakura viewing period in Kyoto and accomodation was very expensive.
We were happy to pay less than A$100/night, plus 100¥/night bicycle rental.
It's centrally located, very clean and quiet.
Staff was responsive and helpful even though they are not onsite. Check in/out was easy.
Washing machines, driers on roof top.

Good value for a early April stay

It was not easy to locate this apartment at first but with exploration and few questions, we finally got there. It turns out to be right beside Nishi Hongaji Temple. If you are walking from Kyoto station (yes, you can walk from there!), you have to walk towards Shiokoji Dori towards the temple's direction. Take the right at the main cross road traffic light intersection and walk straight. You will see a big arch leading to the temple but keep going until you see Lawsons. Take the right just before Lawsons and the apartment is on the left. The tricky bit is getting to the telephone at the top floor of the apartment. The staircase is really narrow so be careful when bringing your luggages upstairs. It is always good to wait first at the ground floor and one of you go up to use the telephone to contact the apartment's staffs. The top floor is where the laundry room is. You will then be guided to your apartment numbers (which is unlocked) and another staff will drop by the apartment to pass you the keys and let you sign a tenancy agreement for the rental. Be mindful about your rubbish and waste as Kyoto city has a strict rule in rubbish distribution and management. So, do divide your rubbish accordingly to plastics, paper, bottles and cans and other waste. The apartment, especially the bathroom/toilet is really small so it will be a bit of restriction in movement for bigger built and taller persons. But the mini kitchen is well equipped with a stove, kettle, toaster oven, cutleries, plates, bowls and cups. The double bed is just nice for 2 persons. The temple is underrated and not popularly shared by other visitors, but to me, it is definitely worth a visit and it is free entry! You can even take the bus no. 28 just outside of the temple to go to Arashimaya. Likewise, you can also take the same bus from Kyoto Station to this apartment. It stops right outside of Lawson from the opposite direction. Oh, it has cable internet and no wifi. Best to get a pocket wifi or internet simcard.

Nice little apartment with tiny modular bathroom with bath and hot water, a/c, large fridge, single hob gas cooker, microwave, grill, rice cooker, kettle, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, iron, TV (no English channels), table and two chairs, clothes rail and cupboards.  Could have done with a bit more room for preparing food.

Wired internet cable supplied for connecting a laptop but you will have to bring your own wifi box to connect tablets and phones. 

Very well located for bus stop and a small supermarket.

Highly Recommended.
