It was a good hotel. Facilities are a bit old but its ok, nothing was broke in the room though. Anyway, the hotel suits its city.
- i had problems in breakfast as there were no tags on the food (which surprised me as its against the japanese culture), so you don't know what is in the plate in front of you. For a person have food restrictions like me, it will be a big deal.
- What i liked the most, the yukata i found on my room and the daily served green tea been put on my desk.
- The hotel can be reached by walking nearly 12 min from teppocho station.

Nice hotel

The hotel caters mostly to business travelers. The single room was tight but comfortable. Room and toilet was clean. The hotel is old but looks like it is well maintained. Not many restaurant choices nearby.

Once a week, they provide free dinner at the lobby as their in house restaurant closes. 

Breakfast at their cafeteria was good with a lot of variety (all Japanese).

They cater to mostly Japanese guest and speak very little English.

The hot spring was popular with the Japanese guests.

Coin operated laundry was actually in the parking lot behind the hotel building.

Clean rooms and good breakfast

You can probably see from the score that I don't rate this place that highly. I'll let the facts speak for themselves:

- When I checked in, the floor of my room was completely covered in pieces of chocolate cookies. Clearly it had not been cleaned!
- I had asked for a non-smoking room, which this apparently was, but it stank of smoke!
- When I asked to change rooms, they couldn't change me, but gave me something to spray in the air instead - it was a can of furniture cleaner! That was pretty funny.

OK, the good news is that it is quite close to a tram stop, so you can catch one into the centre of town quite easily. You can also walk to some nearby convenience stores. I think that is all the good news.

There was a communal hot bath on one of the floors, I had a quick look but a large crowd of kids had just arrived and had taken over the floor pretty much, so I didn't explore further. It looked a little grotty though.

Overall, not much to recommend it and I wouldn't go back. I'd probably choose something in Dogo Onsen instead, which is a charming little hot springs town.
