Oh the pillow here you can choose after you check in. It was so nice. Location is perfect its only across the station. From station the door is right beside the Shinkansen. Its a perfect place for travelers

Across Nagoya station

Room is small but very good equiped. Kettle, free coffee and tea, air conditioning, tv - all this items are in the room. Room was very clean. So even 5 days stay is nice and without any problems. Pillows and bed also very comfortable. Very nice, helpfull and frendly staff in the reception. Payment possible by cash and credit card. Hotel is located 3 minutes from Nagoya main railway station.
Very poor breakfast (in japanese style, but quality, cleanness of the restaurant was really poor). 4 sets to choose. Lack of green tee or coffee or any juice (only water).
Be Careful - there is also similar hotel Sanco Inn Nagoya but without "Annex". This is different hotel.

Very close to main railway station

I spent a night in the hotel, it is located at a convenient distance from the Shinkansen station and the surrounding in Nagoya.  Very helpful polite staffs. If only it served breakfast was going to be a 5 star.

Overall good hotel

The location of this business hotel is excellent! Firstly, the train station and subway stations are just across the road.  Meitetsu railway and bus station (where you get the bus to Nabana no Sato, are in the same block, a little further away.  Rooms are not big but our twin-bedded room sufficed for our needs. Everything was spanking new, and sparkling clean, and worked well. The reception was courteous and efficient, very to the point.There is a Japanese fast food restaurant next door and a Denny’s a few doors away.

good location

I spent one week at this hotel. It is exactly as all other business hotels in Japan (same type of room, same bathroom,toiletries and accessories in the room). It is very conveniently located in front of the station. That is useful if you intend to move around the city, but of course the surroundings do not offer many attractions: you cannot have a pleasant walk near the hotel in the evening but have to go elsewhere (but there are restaurants/eateries everywhere). The room was adequately furnished, carped, air con in winter works as air heating. The fridge was not very cool, I asked for a replacement which they immediately made, but I am afraid all their devices are all old and exhaused. The staff is the staff of a business hotel: they provide the key and a quick greeting, no more interaction in any language. I do recommend this hotel because of the location and the price. Mpreover, wifi was great.

Good location

Shinmei is a good choice if you're looking for a clean business hotel for a short stay in the centre of Nagoya.It's main advantages: 1. location right across the street from Nagoya Station (Shinkansen side) 2. very polite English speaking staff at reception 3. Free wi-fi, kettle, TV 4. Fantastic Bakery Cafe "Cascade" in the subway (entrance just outside the hotel - a great place for early breakfast -  European style bakery and coffee 4. Possibility to get a quiet room (no view but no street noise either) 5. lots of small restaurants in the area (Japanese, Indian, Chinese Korean) 6. huge shop with electronics next door 7. Takashimaya - multi level department store in Nagoya station, a great place for shopping 8. direct train to Nagoya airport 9. buses to tourist spots in the area from Nagoya station
