Stayed two nights before a flight in early August. The room showed signs of age - the carpet was worn and bunched up in places and the curtains were somehow tobacco stained despite a non-smoking room and floor. The bathroom surfaces appeared clean but you could tell deep cleaning had not been done in awhile if looking closely. The bathroom light was also a strange color and quite dim. In the hallways there is obvious carpet damage and wallpaper peeling due to humidity damage. The hotel could definitely use a renovation, it has been at least 10-12 years since the last one.

We used the pool and it was decent despite a large number of children attending a summer camp event.

By far anyone should AVOID ordering the western breakfast. We did as room service on the final day and regretted it. About 40% of what was served was not possible to eat - it seemed like reheated convenience store items and/or frozen foods. Also the menu in the room said french toast and toast would be served, and instead there was shumai and other random Chinese things including rubbery seafood and bacon that looked so disgusting we wrapped it in a napkin. The standard of breakfast offering was way below what a 4-star chain would offer. I have also had breakfasts in 3-star business hotels in Japan that were far above this one.

The staff in the hotel are pleasant and helpful and it was very convenient having a 24/7 FamilyMart on site. The shuttle bus service is very helpful and runs perfectly on time - we used it to go to both the airport and Narita town. Definitely recommend seeing the Narita main temple (Narita-san) if you have extra time in town. There isn't much else there except a traditional shopping street.

Okay Hotel but AVOID the Breakfast

Huge hotel near the airport and they are able to accommodate tour groups and the airline crew. It was a very nice hotel, sleep was good and the room was spacious by Japan standard. Breakfast experience was a bit shocking : as early as 6.30am, there were more than 50 guests in the queue. Surprisingly, it cleared really fast. Kudos to the staff, they were so good! 
We tried the hotel shuttle to Aeon for a last minute retail therapy. It was very convenient and well arranged. 
The hotel has a well stocked convenience store too.

Good hotel to be near the airport

Will the people who think this hotel deserves >1 star please post some pictures?  Perhaps this hotel is two faced?! 

I was in my room for 5 minutes and caught a cough and skin rash. The room is musty and moldy. Like the other traveler said, it has a no smoking sign but the rooms smell like stale cigarettes. 

Yes, we did see flight crew check in and check out. However, they all walk to the other wing to their rooms. Maybe there are other rooms for the flight crew, because I can’t imaging the crew getting good rest from a room that smells like it has not been cleaned for decades, with mattress dented and uneven, and linen looking the same as the pictures posted in 2015 and 2016… that would be 8-9 years old without any updating! 

Carpet looks like they have been there and worn out beyond their meanffscturer’s recommended useful life span of carpets. Toilet seat looks reasonable. But the restroom smells like bleach. Too bad you can’t “post the smell” of the room. If you open the window, you can smell the sewage that faces our room. 

I really don’t understand how travelers think this room deserves even a 3 star. The staff must have put you in a different part of the building. 

We booked through a tour, who took the money and booked us this less than acceptable room, referring to this as a  4-stars hotel in their travel itinerary. Really?! Or did the hotel just take the money and downgrade us?

Staff - So far, very good experiences. Front desk and transportation staff speak English well.
