We stayed at Churaumi Village for two nights. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained the whole time. The house was clean and well equipped. It was great to get some laundry done. The beds were not very comfortable and we didn't sleep well both nights.

Remote spacious house

We planned to do our own BBQ and hence chose this accommodation which would allow us to do just that in front of the unit. Somehow we skipped that due to lack of time after visiting many attraction nearby during our 2 days stay there. This is a 2-stories apartment which can accommodate up to 8 or more. 2nd level is mainly for sleeping, with another room in 1st level which is a tatami bedroom. Kitchen with washing machine and sitting room are at 1st level. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. We had a very enjoyable stay in it with the big room we had to move around after a tired day.

Spacious Comfortable Stay

I just returned from Okinawa on 8 days 7 nights trip. After collecting my rental car at Naha Airport, my family spent 3 nights at Churaumi Village (2nd type) which is newer and about 700 m from the 1st Churaumi Village. We find the stay very enjoyable as it has a well-equipped kitchen and bath area - washing machine, cooking utensils, oven, microwave, dish warmer, rice cooker, kettle etc. The lower floor has toilet, bathing room, living room and kitchen. You can hang your clothes using the hanging liners provided at the balcony (2nd floor) or go to the office to use the dryer which charge 200 yen per wash.  And the upper level is 2 rooms - one room consists of 2 beddings and the other is tatami room with futons. Outside the house is a small porch which you can have BBQ (which you can order from office). This place is ideal for those who drive as it is not so accessible by public transport, you can simply park your car in front of your apartment.

The reason we stayed here is its proximity to many of the places we planned to go - Chuaraumi Aquarium & Ocean Expo Park (5 min drive); Nakijin Castle Ruins (15 min drive), and used it as a stop to arrange tour to places in the north - Kouri Island, Cape Hedo, Nakijin castle ruins etc. 

The service was excellent. When we checked in, we were led to the unit, briefed on the different amenities and usage. They even provide an information booklet which includes  nearby restaurants and supermarkets. When we returned on the second night, it was heartwarming to note that the staff helped to switch on heater so that our washed clothes can dry faster. 

The apartment is clean but do note that they provided exact number of toothbrush, towels and slippers. But if you are short of anything, you may proceed to ask from the office (less than 50 m away). However, the staff do not clean your room but only take the towels to wash. However there is a vacuum cleaner which you can use to clean the floors. There is a washing point near the door so you can wash off sand after a visit to the beach. I even borrowed a pail to wash my car as it got really dirty.  

I must mentioned that there is a nearby Lawson and Family Mart (need abt 5 min drive). We patronised these 2 places every night to get our breakfast, drinks and snacks. 

Overall, my family enjoyed the stay very much. Given the location, service and very reasonable prices, I would strongly recommend this place for those who self drive.

Excellent, Comfortable Apartment with all you need

When I stay at this lodge, I have a chance to see the star over your head.  It shows you a lot of stars that you never can see in the city.  My kids are the first time to see stars over in the sky since birth.  It is possible to play firework (but not rocket type) in the countryside.

We are a party of 3 - couple with young child. 

The place has enough room for perhaps a couple with 3 kids. The loft bedroom has enough space for 2 beds and addition 2-3 futons. Also, downstairs, there's room for another futon. But need to check with management on max pax allowed.

The place is well designed and fitted with all the things a family needs. There's a good size kitchen with oven, microwave, dish warmer, induction top, rice cooker, refrigerator.... Also comes with a washing machine and vacuum cleaner (good for cleaning car full of sand after a visit to the beach)

The house is cooled by 3 blower aircon (1 upstairs an 2 below). A good 5 seat sofa facing a good size TV which I reckon is 55" at least. The porch is great for having meals outdoors. There's a trampoline too.

From this place, we traveled to the aquarium, Kouri Island, Cape Hedo, Hiji Waterfall.... All within easy drive. Plentiful of good eateries around.... 
There's a parking slot for every apartment.

Great location! Well equipped! Clean and spacious

stayed for 1N on a visit to the aquarium in a neat villa with a large deck with a hammock. the villa had a well equipped kitchen with a coffee machine. shower was hot and the bath was deep. some restaurants within walking distance. the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the Second Village, Extra Large Wood Deck type villa. The house was very well equipped. Kitchenette even has condiments such as salt, sugar, soya sauce, cooking oil, bbq sauce, butter etc. 

We had to pay 1000 yen for 1 futon per night. Please beware that if you booked your accommodation through sites like Expedia or Agoda, the cost of the futons are not included. Cost of the futons must be paid in cash upon arrival to the reception.

Only grievance is that the mattress and pillow were rather thin and not too comfortable. In fact the futons were more comfortable!

Location wise, it is very near to the Churaumi Aquarium. But you got to have your own vehicle to get to the restaurants or Lawsons or Family Mart as there is hardly anything within walking distance nearby.

Nice townhouse

This 2 storey huge villa was way over what we expected, having paid only S$130 per night. It was very clean, new conditions,all the small details and decorates around the house. Hammock by the front yard for one to relax with family. A large tatami room and a western room w 2beds, vacuum,cloth rack, laundry rack,washing machine with all the kitchen appliances beyond what yet will expect! Boss and staff were all very friendly and even offered us a free ride over to Churaumi Aquarium upon our checkout though we asked for them to call cab for us. Great friendly vibe at this villa stay that won't burn your pocket. A Must stay IF in the northern area!! 👍
