I traveled to Sapporo with my college aged son. Location location location, right across from Sapporo JR station, tons of shopping and eating nearby. Take the elevator to basement level directly from the hotel, there is an underground shopping center and food street. In Hokkaido, you do not need to walk outside in the winter. Everything is underground. The room is small and smells of smoke. But since this was during Japanese school vacation, the hotel is packed with Japanese students on athletic trips. There is no free breakfast. Breakfast buffet is on the ground floor with a fee. But you do not need it since you are surrounded by other choices.  

Excellent Location 

Location is great!  You can get to this hotel all underground.  Land in New Chitose Airport, take a train to Sapporo Station and go straight into the hotel.   Sapporo station has all the food and shopping you need.

Service is excellent!  Big smiles, very prompt, checking-in luggage, all perfect!  Room was hot and they brought a fan to the room within minutes.

Hotel is older.  Booked a standard twin (~$60/night).  The hotel looked very modern from the outside so I booked it thinking it was remodeled.  The rooms are older and the internet (even when it wasn't packed) was slow.  I got an unstable 20mbps connection.  Used my pocket wifi instead.

Air Conditioning was shut off for some reason.  It was hot inside the room.  You can't open the window so, we felt trapped.  They gave us a fan to use which worked, but dried us up.

No views.  We booked a twin size room but there was no view.

It's overall not a bad hotel.  It was quiet, workers were efficient, and the location was great.  We got a twin size for the space, but it still felt small and stuffy from the lack of AC.  I would try elsewhere next time.

No AC, Slow Internet, Great Service and Location

Staff are very helpful and courteous to guests.
Special mention to concierge staff, Hoshikawa san and front desk staff, Yamaji san. They have been a great help to minimize my travel difficulties arising from a sudden flight cancellation due to the Covid-19 virus situation in Hokkaido.
Room is excellent and comfortable and always clean. My appreciation to the housekeeping staff.

Excellent hotel hospitality and central location for shopping and food.

Due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus, we could not confirm our trip until last minute, the hotel staff was very responsive and patient to all the enquiries and requests we made. Although the room was compact as we expected, it was very clean and there were plenty of hand sanitisers throughout the hotel ready for use.

Excellent service

Ideal hotel for a required city stopover when heading to the ski field. Easy bus connection from Chitose Airport both domestic and international terminals. Central location in Sapporo city to trains, underground, restaurants, bookshop for city winter exploring. Free bus to Rusutsu Ski Resort right outside and close to Niseko Bus. We do 2 nights in and out for our snowboarding trips for city exploring and this is the hotel for this. Rooms compact but comfortable, check in and checkout easy. Highly recommended

Sapporo winter stay

Location of the hotel is excellent being directly connected to the main Sapporo Station. The hotel lifts are connected to the underground shopping streets which means we didn't need to venture outside in the cold to get back to our room. 

The room was small but expected for Japanese hotel room standard.
The bed was comfortable.
The room was mainly clean but the toilet didn't seem to have been properly wiped down after the departure of the last occupants.

Excellent location

This was our second stop in Hokkaido. We left Rusutsu for Sapporo via bus (must booked online). The bus admin desk was located inside Rusutsu Resort. Take your printed-out booking there prior boarding.
 
Nearest dropped-off point was Century Royal hotel which located opposite Gracery hotel - very convenient!

Gracery hotel’s location was opposite Sapporo station/shopping precincts: Daimaru/Apia/Stellar/Esta. Yes, you read it right, it attached to 4 shopping malls, with top floor and basement dedicated for FOOD! And it also had underground walkway all the way to Susukino station - very impressive! You could spend a week and not cover them all. 

Gracery hotel itself was fabulous, friendly staff, clean and surprisingly spacious. 
The reception was on the 7th floor, overlooked the shopping precincts. 
We booked with no breakfast but with the huge mall opposite, choices were endless.  
Our room was on the 13th floor and the view was amazing. 
Slippers were provided, as well as pjs, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap and other toiletries.  

Highly recommended!


Wow! Amazing stay

The location of the hotel is super convenient as its B1 floor is connected to the underground shopping area of Sapporo station, surrounded by at least five shopping complex. It was a pleasant stay, the room is clean and staffs were friendly. Highly recommended.

Superb location

Checked into the hotel after an overnight flight. The staff at the reception was fast and very efficient. We were able to get into our rooms for a quick rest before going out to explore the area.

Highly advisable to get the twin or triple room so that there was more space for luggage.

Do note that Hotel Gracery is a popular venue for holidaymakers hence I was only able to reserve Semi Double rooms for 4 nights which I didn't regret though the rooms are rather small and cramped. 

My mother who is on wheelchair find it difficult to move in and out of the room initially. However, she is appreciative that the hotel has kindly made available showering chair in the bathroom for her to use.

The hotel provided full amenities in the toilet as well as pyjamas for the duration of stay. Bottles of mineral water were replenished daily and placed inside the refrigerator. 

Didn't try the breakfast because there were many good eateries around the hotel. The basement level of the hotel is connected to the Sapporo Train Station, therefore, it's very convenient to get around to any places of interest in Hokkaido. However, be warned that there are some flights of stairs if you should decide to use the connected basement pathway (head west from train station) to the hotel. 

The checking out process was semi-automatic which took less 10 minutes.
