９月にダイビングを兼ね５泊しました。２食付きにしましたが毎日異なるメニューでお味も優しくとてもおいしくいただけました。生ビールサーバーのあるのもナイス。宿も室内も大変きれいに管理されていて気持ちよくすごせます。ダイビングサービスも併設されているので便利。ランドリーが無料で使えるのも助かりました。部屋は狭いながらも備品がなんでも揃っていますし、バスルームが改装されていて気持ちよく使えました。敢えて言うなら室内に収納棚などはありません。スタッフも親切でつかず離れずいい方ばかりです。Very nice place to stay for divers. Rooms were small, but clean and well maintained. You can enjoy their food too. They provide good variety of Japanese and local meals. There was an English speaking nice guy. Good for free laundry.

清潔で快適なステイ/Clean and cozy

A guesthouse on Zamami Island. Easy booking by email. A person from the hotel picks you up at the ferry's arrival. The staff speaks fluent English and is very hospitable. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is a terrace on the roof to relax on.

A good pension

Nice staff. They're always willing to help you and speak good English. The common room has a good vibe. There is a roof terrace and you can sit outside on the porch. The location is perfect, near all restaurants and shops in the village. You can use the washing machine in the hotel and you can make tea and coffee. I love the island Zamami, it's great for relaxing, hiking around the island, snorkling and of course see the whales.

Good hotel with great facilities and nice people

This pension is located along a very narrow street inside the small village. It has traditional style Japanese rooms. The room itself is small and is not much more than a wooden floor with bedding that can be folded out at night. Personally I sleep better in a normal bed but, when in Japan Im happy to try out Japanese culture and habits. There is a small bathroom and a balcony. It's very clean and there is an airco. Wearing shoes is not allowed inside the premises, which makes sense to keep the place clean (shoes will collect a lot of sand from the beaches). 
Entering the pension is like entering a family home. Actually, it IS a family home. The family running the place, especially their English speaking daughter, are very welcoming and friendly people. The other members of the family do not speak English. Also she provided great advise about the island, transportation and for a place to eat in the evening. Which is a great help as there are no signs and even the island and village are small, such advise is very useful to find out what are the best places to visit.
Getting to the place from the harbor is just a 5 minute walk into the village. 
There is free wifi but it only works in the family living room on the ground floor, not in the room.
All in all the place is a good, clean and affordable place to sleep. The biggest reason to recommend it are the warm welcome and the close vicinity to the harbor.

Great place for budget stay on Zamami island

My wife and I stayed here with our little boy. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Megumi in particular was great and spoke excellent English. They organised a whale watching trip and also run their own dive shop. We ate there one night and the food was very good.

We had a Japanese-style room was simple, but clean, comfortable and decent value.  Only downsides were the school opposite and its early morning speaker announcements as well as the smell of stale smoke in the room (which was easily masked by an air freshener).
