Ideally located. 5 minutes walk from the port and 20 minutes from the 2 main beaches (one ideal for turtles and paddle practice and the other for snorkeling). Within the village which allows you to relax or go out for a drink nearby We were very well received.

Friendly

We only stayed one night but could have stayed at least a couple more.  The cafe attached to the guesthouse has a relaxing atmosphere, with soft music playing in the background, and an eclectic mix of cozy chairs,  tables and sofas are situated near a cute rounded counter and shiny black piano. 

Our room was spartan but perfect.  We chose tatami mats and futon bedding for a traditional experience. 

After the beach, you are able to use the outdoor foot shower or enclosed shower to get the sand off.  Very convenient service, available even after check-out.

Stay a while to soak it all in

The villa is very well situated in relation to Zamami Island. Close to the small shops, equidistant from the two beaches of the island, and very close to the port. However, despite the very comfortable beds, there was no change of towels in 4 days. The garbage cans are not emptied. The rooms are small and the bathroom is very dysfunctional.

Three good locations

Beautiful but somewhat overpriced accommodation with garden walking to almost everything in Zamami. It includes a small expensive cafe. Staff speak only a few words of English. Room medium size, tiny bathroom like a shipsklo (not uncommon in Japan), mini kitchen lines with refrigerator, sink and 1 stove and minimal dishwashing. Boiler and a small pot. Cooking unimaginable, at most eggs, soup or coffee. But some affordable restaurants in the area. Wala trips are great.

Good accommodation with garden

Cha Villa was my home far far away from home when I visited the beautiful island of Zamami. I was travelling this last week of my vacation alone and the staff, especially Tomoko-san, made me feel like a friend and family! The little apartment was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a fridge. The garden of the hotel is a little oasis where you can sit with a cup of hot tea or a cold beer and sum up your adventures of the day. The little café in the lobby serves snacks and drinks and is great for a bit of "western style" breakfast if you fancy it. The location is great 2 minutes from the port but still close to walk to Furuzamami and Ama beaches. I would recommend Cha Villa to everyone and hope to come back here soon!

Wifi is weak and not working anywhere beyond the lobby and terrace
You will not get anything extra despite paying a high price to stay (ie. They wont even lend you an extra towel for the beach and they dont allow room towels taken out of the room, beach towels are 300yen to borrow)
Bathroom quite small not even room to move your arms inside
Nothing in the kitchenette (not even tea or a bottle of water)


Not bad

Cha Villa is without any doubt the best place where to stay in Zamami. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped and all of them have a terrace. When you enter the hotel, you can go through a small but nicely arranged garden, very pleasant especially by night when all lights give the place a cosy atmosphere. You can enjoy the breakfast cooked by the owner herself with some jazz music. The hotel is located 3 minutes by foot from the port. Important point for us as well was the washing machine. You can buy washing powder to the owner for only 50 Yen.

Exceptional!

Stayed for 2 nights. While cha-
Villa is a bit more expensive than other inns on the island you get your own small bathroom and kitchenette which REALLY is helpful. We were able to have snacks and beverages in the fridge we brought from home since there is a small amount of restaurants on island. No meals were included. I would stay again.

Island life

This August I spent 6 days in Zamami at this B&B, cute, clean and very kind staff, although they probably aren't used to having people staying that long: because the rooms aren't rebuilt and they don't change your towels...Vantage: they are among the few on the island who speak a little English and have a Western person working for them. Zamami is very small so book in advance if you want to find a place to sleep, and many facilities refuse foreigners because not knowing English they know they can't provide an adequate, fantastic hospitality service.
