First time trying a capsule-style hotel.

Hotel.
Location was a little confusing via Google Maps but is situated pretty near the station. 

Walking into the hotel, you are warmly greeting by the reception staff. The lobby itself is decent sized and has a pleasant smell.

Staff
Friendly and attentive. They can speak some English. 

Room.
Refer to the video. 
I wanted the bigger room but they were fully booked. The bed itself is decently comfortable and spacious. 

There is no luggage locker so you have to place it right outside of your cabin. Just lock it up and it will be fine.

I suggest wearing the provided ear plugs for a better sleep.

Location.
As stated, pretty convenient. Food wise, there are many options directly at central Akihabara.

Fun experience, lack of luggage storage

I always choose to stay with First Cabin Hotels when I travel to Japan and this time in Tokyo, i chose First Cabin Akihabara. It is just 5 mins walk to JR Akihabara Station and shopping malls.

The staff were very friendly and able to speak well English. I stayed in First Class Cabin as I have a big suitcase and enough space for me. The bad thing is I can hear a very loud voice of snoring fro m the next cabin. I really wish the separated zone for snoring and the quiet zone.

The public bath is on the 1st floor, I need to go down from the 4th floor. It is a bit uncomfortable as I want it to be on the same floor with the cabins but it is not a big deal anyway, I enjoyed it.

I will definitely go back and stay at this hotel once again. I really love First Cabin Hotel Chain.

Always my first choice

Ive always liked First Cabin, though it seems more like a high class capsule hotel specially for tourists who want to have an experience, yet dont want to squeeze in a coffin like cabin,
Ive stayed in the Osaka and Hakata branch and everything was great. However, the branch at Akihabara can really improve on their service.
I brought two non Japanese speaking friends and we stayed for a night. When the reception staff found out i could speak Japanese, she asked me to explain all the details to my two friends instead of doing it herself in English.
Yes, I could do that favour, but honestly, that should be your job. 

Location wise was good. Just across the main streets of Akihabara.

Service can be improved

This is my favourite place to stay on a budget. Even though the bathrooms and toilets are communal, they are very clean (which is of No. 1 importance to me). Bed was very comfortable to sleep in, and it is easy to store your belongings in a tiny locked cabinet by the bed. I am a light sleeper, but I did not experience any problems from other guests. The sound proofing is fairly good.

The reception staff were very friendly. Although they were not fluent in English, I could still communicate with them.

My favourite budget place to stay

I went out of my way to try a single night at a capsule hotel and chose the First Class cabin. This went a lot better than I expected, mainly because my impression of a capsule hotel was a small claustrophobic space barely high/wide enough for an adult to sit up in the bed. However, First Class cabins at First Cabin are huge enough for you to stand and store belongings inside the capsule.

Pros:
- Quiet, you will get a very good night's sleep
- Convenient location, less than 5 minutes walk from JR Akihabara Station
- Very clean and modern, and although the amenities are shared, they look as if they belong in an upmarket hotel.

Cons:
- Quiet, you will hear others snoring. Similarly if you snore, others will hear you.
- Quiet, if you make any sort of noise, others will hear you. Every single noise is magnified x10 here.

I would stay at First Cabin and would recommend other travellers to do so, however it is generally not a good idea if you are working or need to be able to take phone calls.
