We arrived here after a very long day exploring the alpine route, very tired - the hotel could not be better located from the train station.
Nice room, comfortable bed and great shower.
Breakfast was good - choices for both vegetarians and meat eaters, mainly Japanese cuisine with some western dishes.
Surrounding area full of restaurants and shops 
Would recommend and visit again

Lovely

Decent and spacious room right on top of the newly renovated train station. Bed was a little bit hard but room had a terrific bathroom with amenities and lots of room for your bags. Additional amenities (extra pillows, a variety of shampoos, iron) cleverly displayed in lobby for guest to make use of. Breakfast was delightful with a view of train commuters and lots of variety at breakfast including local foods to Toyama area.

Spacious and comfortable

i stayed at this hotel for 2 night. the hotel really near toyama station. just accross the street. i stayed for my trip to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and Shirakawa-Go. the room is very big for Japan standard hotel.there are more amenities you could ask at the front desk. breakfast standard, it doesnt have many choices but still good for me. there are many restaurant around hotel. the cons only, there is once front desk resepsionist not that kind. beside that, it was good to stay here.

Near Toyama Station

We stayed one night at Toyama Chitetsu Hotel as we were going on the Tateyama Alpine route the next morning. The location can’t be better - it is mere steps away from the Toyama Dentetsu Station (the smaller train station beside the main JR Toyama station) you need to go to start the route. 

The hotel room looked newly renovated and was very clean. We got a small double room. While compact, the room is slightly bigger than the usual double room we get in a Tokyo hotel.

The lobby doesn’t look like much but there are actually quite a few nice touches. There’s a table beside the lifts with different kinds of shampoos and conditioners for guests to use. How interesting! There’s free coffee and tea at the lounge with plenty of seating place. And a Long shelf of Japanese comics! Unfortunately we only realised it when we were checking it out. 

Service was also excellent. I needed to buy a charging cable for my Fitbit as I didn’t pack it with me. Asked the reception about it, who were very kind to offer me several suggestions on where I might be able to find it. 

All in all, a very pleasant surprise experience despite the hotel not being a brand name hotel!

Great location for Tateyama Alpine Route

I stayed here one night to go to Tateyama very early morning after check out.  The hotel is just next to the train station.  It takes less than 3 minutes from the lobby to the train station to Tateyama.  Super convenient particularly if you need to take early train. 

It’s also 10 minutes walk from railway station Toyama.  Highly recommend if you are planning to visit the mountain next day.  Hotel staff is very friendly that we can leave our luggage for one night even after check out! Room is clean and tidy 

Very good location if you go to Tateyama 立山室堂

Maybe the room is a little bit to small, so we book 2 rooms. But is very near from Toyama JR Station. Near the hotel have many shopping center and restaurants too. If you want to go to Tateyama Alpine Route and Shirakawago, you can start from here. If you want to going around Toyama, it is just 15 minutes from Toyama  Castle by walking. The bus station also in front of the hotel. The staff very helpful and friendly too, to support our needs. Thank you

Just a step away from JR Station

The Chitetsu lobby check- in area looks a bit cheesy at first, mostly due to the cold lighting. It looks more iike a rail ticket counter than a hotel desk. I was afraid that this would carry over to the room.
But the rooms are nicely done, a bit more space than the usual biz hotel, and nicely appointed. There was a big work desk, mini- fridge and tea service, big flat- screen TV and the usual biz hotel fittings. There were instructions in English for the hotel guide, but not for how to work the appliances – but they were easy enough just by pushing buttons until I got what I wanted to work, to work. The work desk had a plug- in charger with five different connectors, including USB-C.  The WiFi worked well and was included in the price.
The bathroom was nice, with a good temp- control armature in the tub and a big mirror. The bathroom lighting was a bit stark but OK, you don’t spend a lot of time there, hopefully.
The bed had a regular pillow and a memory foam pillow. Nice touch.  You can get other versions in the lobby. There are lots of things you can take to your room from the lobby, including trousers presses, fans, desk lights, an abs exerciser, all sorts of things. In fact, something I have never seen before, they have 20 or so different shampoo brands, including a number of foreign ones, in the lobby. They provide Ziploc bags for you to squeeze the ones you want into, and off you go to your room with the ones of your choice.
The lobby area has a reading nook with a more- or- less all times operating coffee machine.
Room 2031, on the 10th floor, looks south-ish, and to the left you can catch bits of the magnificent mountains that are a part of the Japanese Alps. Otherwise, it’s mostly roofs of neighboring buildings.
Breakfast was good, and the space was pleasant.
The location, adjacent to the JR station and above the Chitetsu private railway station, is convenient for travel, shopping, food and entertainment.
All in all, it has a lot of nice little features that more than make up for the drab check- in area.

This hotel locate near JR Toyama Station and Toyama Bus Terminal. Bedroom is big enough for 2 person, clean and comfy. Infront of reception desk there are a set of body shampo, hair shampo and conditioner that you can choose it. In the room they also prepare body shampo and hair shampo.

From hotel you can walk to toyama observation desk, toyama castle, starbuck that claim as the most beautiful starbuck in the world. 
Price is affordable.


Nice hotel, great location

This hotel next to the Toyama train station is the perfect location for easy train and bus access in Toyama. The rooms are dated, but, clean and slightly larger than most Japanese hotel rooms. The room some friends had did not have a working air conditioner, but, were given a fan by the staff and that was sufficient. We were able to leave our luggage in their storage area since we were early for checking in. There are shops and eateries galore right from their elevator, including a 100 yen shop.  We were exhausted from traveling so went to the basement supermarket for prepared sushi, fresh fruits, and beer for a light meal---perfect and budget-priced!  The room price included a buffet breakfast that included Toyama's famed firefly squid and pressed trout sushi, curry, Japanese dishes, miso soup, sausage, bacon, eggs, breads and salad bar.  I would definitely stay here again for the convenience.
