日本の懐かしい温泉旅館を体験する事が出来ます。また、価格もリーズナブルで雲仙の地質学的重要地域（地獄と呼ばれる場所）も隣接しています。You can experience a nostalgic Japanese hot spring inn. Also, the price is reasonable and the geologically important area of Unzen (a place called hell) is next to the door.

懐かしい日本旅館　Nostalgic Japanese inn（Ryokan)

Location: right across from the bus stop; right near the 'hells'.
Room was big: such a surprise after tiny rooms in standard Western style hotels.
Kaiseki dinner (in the communal dining room) was ornate, with a large number of dishes of exquisite food; lots of seafood, all well done.  We had warm sake to drink, which went really well with the food.  Service was attentive and very helpful.
There is a choice of onsens: we chose to use the outside onsen.  Excellent facility.  Staff were all very helpful and friendly.  They had limited English but enough to get by.
Ryokans, generally, are such a treat, and this was a great example.

Good hotel, great food and onsen.

located just a few minutes walk from the bus terminal stop. we stayed in this Ryokan. the price includes dinner and breakfast, and of course free use of their indoor and outdoor onsen. My tatami room was spacious with ensuite. dinner was served in the room while for breakfast we have to go to a communal hall.during dinner we will be served by an elderly lady. most of the staff can't speak engiish so dish out your Samsung 's S translator. very detailed and immaculate way of laying out the dinner dishes.
She will come and clear the dishes after dinner and lay the mattresses on the tatami for you to sleep later.
also this Ryokan is waling distance to the Unzen Jigoku, some shrines, and restaurants. actually the main area of Unzen is quite small.

well located Japanese Ryokan

We enjoyed a night at this lovely traditional Japanese ryokan after a busy day on the tour bus where we were well looked after by tour company Trapic.We had reached Unzen via a ferry ride from the port of Kumamoto to the port of Shimabara then a 40 minute bus ride to Unzen passing another active volcano Fugendake. This is a very volcanic area high in the mountains with great hot springs. Before dinner enjoyed the great onsen and then in our yukata's off to the tatami mat dining room for a great Japanese meal. I found it a bit hard to sit on the mat to eat so they brought me in a little chair and when I finally got settled all the tour group who were all Japanese gave me a hearty clap, a good bunch of folks.The staff all looked great in their kimonos and the service was excellent. When we got back to our room the bed was all made up for us on the tatami mat. Had a good nights sleep. The next morning down to the outside hot spring bath which was lovely before breakfast back in the dining room where they had my little chair waiting for me again, nice ladies. Nice place to stay , traditional and right in the middle of town.Would recommend  to anyone.
