My partner and I have stayed at Daisen Backpackers 5 times in the last 2 years, and we absolutely love the place!

It’s a clean, comfortable, affordable and very well maintained place to stay while hiking, skiing or snowboarding on Mount Daisen or enjoying some of the other great things that there are to do in the surrounding area – such visiting the Shōji Ueda photography museum or one of the many local onsen. As a fan of both photography and onsen, I can recommend both.

The guesthouse is self-catering, but everything you need to make a delicious breakfast is included in the price (milk, coffee, fruit, eggs, delicious local yoghurt, and the best homemade bread I’ve had in years!), and the kitchen is very well equipped. The wifi connection is also strong and reliable. And, if you have a car, there is convenient off-street parking directly in front of the property.

What's more, the owners are lovely people and will make you feel at home while giving you the space you need to relax and unwind at the end of a long day on the mountain.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, then look no further.

An excellent place to stay for anyone visiting Daisen A+

Stayed at Daisen BP with my small child as I wanted kitchen and laundry access at a reasonable cost.
It was better than I expected in every way.
The hostess Miyuki and host Saito-San are really warm and kind. They treat you like a friend and invite you to outings and joint meals if that suit you but also let you be if freedom and space is what you are after.
The place is absolutely clean and new, a lot of renovations in progress. 
 Miyuki keeps the house magnificently. The beds are soft and fresh, toilet and bathrooms spanking clean, kitchen is large and inviting, they are happy for you to borrow condiments etc. the breakfast is free and bread freshly baked by miyuki.
I am definitely coming back and would not hesitate to recommend this little gem in magic spot!


Beautiful place to stay

I stayed at this pretty guesthouse with my family ( 1 and 3-years-old boys, my husband and I).
The guest house located in Daisen Pension village, to where you can reach by a loop bus from Yonago station, or so-called "demand bus". from nearest Kishimoto Railway Station on JR Hakubi line.  The owner said that they can manage pick-up service from Kishimoto Station.
To the guesthouse it is minutes away from a well-known bakery "Kosaji-ichi", and also very nice place to walk around. It takes less than 10 minutes driving for "Milk-no-sato" -a farm for tourists, where you can have good ice creams and milk products.

The room  (ours was twin) , lobby, washroom, kitchen , everywhere in the guesthouse was clean, well organized. It was comfortable to sleep and loosen up.
 According to the owner, the house is still on the renovation. 

The owner and her husband  are very kind and have warm hospitality. We've enjoyed talking with them.   
We tried a soba-noodle restaurant（Yago-no-sato, by the way, very difficult to find）, which is one of their recommendation. So yummy with good atmosphere! Worth a try.
Wifi is available in the lobby.　Breakfast was good and served enough for us.

We are very satisfied with our stay at the guesthouse and would like to visit again.
