It was perfekt to stay at Desert Moon Camp :D At first, i wanted to stay there for two nights, but then i realised, thtat its a perfekt place for staying calm and independent throughout the world. The scenery is authum, the stuff is great too :D

The guys who run this camp are amazing - the hospitality and the food were excellent. We really felt at home in this camp. The best part of our trip was at night sitting around the big tent and having some great conversation.  Next time I go to Wadi Rum I will stay in the Desert Moon Camp.

We had a great time staying at the Desert Moon Camp. The young Bedouins were all extremely friendly and open and happy to drive us around and show us their desert. They took us to a great location to see the sunset, had a nice dinner after that and a campfire later. Great time for a family with young adult children.

Wunderful stay in the desert 

We did the Jeep Safari in the afternoon and stayed the night at the camp.
The driver of our Jeep Safari was a patient man, allowing enough time for us to struggle uphill through blood red sand or painstakingly climb rocky hills. He spoke good English and stopped along the route to show us interesting inscriptions on rocks. 
The camp was clean and the staff helpful. Even though we, four women, were the only guests at the camp, we felt safe and comfortable nor did the staff shortchange us on service. 
We had tasty and wholesome local food including a chicken and vegetables hotpot cooked in an underground oven. Breakfast was standard Jordanian fare.
There was free WiFi and charging station in the meal-tent, but WiFi was rather inconsistent. Even mobile connectivity was poor. 
The camp uses solar power. There was tepid water in the shower and weak light in the tent.
I counted around twenty tents, but there were only two shower cubicles, two wash basins, and three toilets in the Ladies Restrooms - clearly inadequate for a full house.
The biggest irritant, of course, are the flies - swarms of them incessantly buzzing throughout daylight hours.

A unique experience for city dwellers

This is a very difficult place to review. Wadi Rum is an amazing place, and there's little doubt that Desert Moon Camp is "authentic" in that it's run by Bedouin who are all super-friendly (like all Jordanians) and hospitable. But in being authentic it is also quite a challenge. The camp comprises about 30 permanent tents, which are furnished with beds. Sheets and blankets are provided, but don't expect them to have been washed recently. Dinner was tasty and fun, with traditional music one night. The nights can be pretty cold - we ended up wearing multiple layers of clothes in bed to stay warm. For long stays we'd recommend a decent sleeping bag.
