Wonderful place where we felt most welcome and at home. Very polite and engaging staff. Beautiful view and good game drives where we came very close to the lions and the cheetahs. So nice to sit by the fire at night after a very nice dinner. Clearly recommend this Camp.

Excellent camp

We spent 2 nights at Eagle View as part of our recent safari. The camp is fantastic, with incredible views, comfortable and luxurious tents, and friendly and attentive staff. Our driver, Esme, knew the conservancy area well, resulting in us seeing lots - including the illusive leopard and cub!

Can’t wait to go back

A fantastic stay at Eagle View with wonderful views  over the plains and waterhole from the lodge and your own private tent. From Elephants to Giraffes to Lions it’s all viewable from the escarpment location. 

Being within the Naboisho Conservancy when on a game drive  your seeing lions etc without the crowds of tourist vehicles  of the National Reserve.  The experience of viewing animals that are less stressed with the much smaller number of visitors in the conservancy made it a much greater experience than my past travel to the National Reserve.

The Tents are fabulous, they are so comfortable and with your own balcony you have your own private viewing location of the animals on the plain. 

All the staff are lovely and the safari guides superb. The food was innovative and delicious and it was terrific to see local people who have gained skills through the training they have received.

Perfect location with wonderful views

When you arrive at Eagle View you walk a short path to the reception area and then, just in front of you, opens out the most astonishing view across the conservancy with a huge variety of wildlife. In our case a huge male elephant was ambling across the middle, surrounded by zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, and much more. The views are the similar from the tents. You can watch ample wildlife without setting foot in a vehicle. Along with really friendly staff, excellent guides it is a wonderful place for a safari. We can recommend the walking safari accompanied by three Maasai people with spears (and a ranger with a gun), but the hyena we encountered just ambled off as we approached and the protection wasn't needed. We also loved the Basecamp organisation with its approach to sustainable tourism and support for local people.

Terrific location for a safari

Eagle View is absolutely stunning.  The staff are incredible and simply can't do enough to help. Alfred, Moses and Dixon, to name but a few were so attentive, always smiling and treated the guests like kings and queens. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble.  The rooms are spotless. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap, insect repellent, bug spray and hand sanitiser were all available in the room. Every evening bed's were turned down, with a hot water bottle in the bed to ensure a cosy night's sleep.  The game drives were fantastic. The knowledge of the driver and his assistant were astounding. They were incredibly informative.  Thank you for a memorable stay. If I had to choose between Eagle View and Leopard Hill, it would be Eagle view for the atmosphere.  The food and rooms were slightly better at Leopard Hill but we felt more at home at Eagle View

Perfect location & perfect stay

My husband and I spent five days total at Eagle View and Leopard Hill, and we could not have asked for a better experience. When we arrived at Eagle View, we were immediately met with the most stunning panoramic view of the savannah, with giraffes and zebras grazing nearby and birds resting in the trees all around us; we could have sat and watched it all day. The Eagle View staff was incredibly gracious and attentive to our needs, including our dietary preferences and the activities we were interested in. The food was absolutely delicious as well, including creative soups, homemade bread, your choice of meat or vegetarian main course, and desserts made from scratch. Our tent was beautiful, spacious and clean. We loved the outdoor shower, and we appreciated that everything is run on solar power. Last but not least, our amazing guides, Edward and Dickson, made our trip truly special from the minute they picked us up at the airstrip. They are kind, funny, and so knowledgeable about all the plants and wildlife in Masai Mara. They encouraged us to ask questions, and we learned a lot by doing so. We loved every minute of our trip and would highly recommend that anyone visiting Masai Mara stay at Eagle View and Leopard Hill.

Amazing Time at Eagle View

My family and I had a great stay at Leopard Hill and Eagle View Lodge. We had a wonderful experience with incredible and friendly staff. 

Eagle View lodge has great tents that overlook a valley. The views from the tents and especially the common restaurant/bar area are worth the trip alone. It was fascinating to watch the animals from this view point as the day evolves. The food was very good and the service very accommodating. The tents are spacious, comfortable and luxurious.

Our guides Edward and Dixon were simply great. They greeted us from the airport (which is simply a strip of dirt on a plane). We immediately saw a cheetah and then drove around to see various animals: elephants, zebras, wildebeests and many more. Further adventures allowed us to see many lions and hippos. At one point we saw an elusive leopard in the main Masi Mara park. Edward and Dixon speak fluent english and have an amazing ability to spot animals in the wild from a moving jeep! They were very friendly and helpful throughout our safari.

Great stay with stunning views

Stunning position with views out over the animals below. Knowledgeable game drivers.  A limit of 5 vehicles at an animal viewing made for some incredible sightings.  So much better than the frantic jostling that we experienced in the neighbouring Maasai Mara as numerous drivers tried to outdo each other to get the closest to the animals - even if that meant disturbing the animals. Friendly and helpful staff. All round a wonderful experience.

Naboisho Conservancy is the best.

What a place!! 

Hospitality, facilities and guides all exceeded our expectations, and the density of animals was way more than we had hoped for. When the weekend ended we had seen 40 different lions!!! countless giraffes, zebras, gazelles, wilder beasts, buffalos, hippos etc. 

A special thank you to Fiona and Dixon as our guides and Daniel as our waiter through out the weekend - thank you for making our days at Eagle view so special 🙏🏼 we truly hope to see you all again.

Best experience ever!!

My husband and I chose Eagle View based on a strong recommendation, and it was above and beyond our highest expectations. All the staff was very friendly and professional, we felt at home right away. And our guides, Dickson and Fabian (intern) were outstanding. We learned so much from them during our daily rides, saw so much wildlife and so many stories unfold, and just had the best of times. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
