This B&B is a good option if you are planning to stay overnight before continuing onward to Masai Mara as it is close to exit of the city. It is located very close to the Giraffe center if you are interested in visiting. They are linked to a program empowering local Kenyan women which is a noble cause and worth supporting. The staff was very helpful and if you notify in advance they can prepare wonderful meal for you as well.

My first introduction to Hope Guest House attracted me. My son and his fiance identified several options for our American contingent to stay while in Nairobi for his wedding to a Kenyan woman. Hope Gardens was one. Not only did they offer an affordable and comfortable guest house; their profits go to empower Kenyan women and raise their economic status.  Consolata Waithaka,  consolata@womanshope.org, is a passionate woman seeking justice for women.  She provided a personal touch to our week long stay. The cook, Anthony, was accommodating to the needs of our group. This was basic, comfortable accommodations.  A easy walk to the Giraffe Center.  A nice walk to Hardy Center for a cafe and grocery store.  A short Taxi ride to Galleria mall for whatever you need and ATM machines.   Close to Kazuri Bead, and MatBronze. Hope Guest House helps you arrange taxis, as well as safaris and other trips. [A shout out to Cheza Breaks for that!]  Set in the lovely Karen Neighborhood, not far from the Elephant Orphanage [the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust] and Nairobi National Park.

For the justice conscious traveler, this is a great place to stay in Nairobi

This is a wonderful guest house, perfect for groups.  It's clean, safe, and has great gardens for some R&R.    

It's also located close to clinics, malls, and tourist attractions.  In fact, the Giraffe Feeding Centre is a short walk away.
