The concept of the home is nice and interesting and I  had quite a unique stay. However, the house itself was ill maintained and cleanliness a bit lacking. If the owners  would invest a bit more into maintenance the place would be great.

I enjoyed staying but you need to upgrade your Furniture, they really look very old and damaged, the carpet doen't look so good. There were some rats all over and one time rained heavily our bed was complete wet. Hope you will make it better inorder not to lose some visitors

New Furniture

We have to call in for the night. Our driver knees that if we use internet to book ahead, it might not be a good idea. Wise words. We called in person, got a great view room for the night. The staffs are smiling and attentive. There were some annoying flying kind of unwanted guests in our room. Also, some marsupials, we think, as we heard the quick sprint. Staffs are number one here.

Call

Before I get into the issues that I experienced most recently, I want to let you know that I have stayed at your hotel many times over the years....and have always generally been satisfied. Indeed, one of the best features of your facility, is the excellent food prepared by Chef Peter.

Sadly, my stay at your facility last evening (15 December 2020) was a major disappointment. First and foremost, I did not get a good nights sleep due to the following reasons:
1) The mattress in the Tembo room is old and uncomfortable
2) The mosquito net does not fit the bed and is impossible to close in order to prevent mosquitoes from buzzing one's head all night and sucking one's blood.
3) There are rats or some other vermin that are in the ceiling area near the door of the bathroom. They were scurrying and gnawing all night and kept me awake.

Apart from that, there was no internet service whatsoever.

To top my horrendous evening off, I got up this morning to take a shower. I let the water run for about 30 minutes and tried every setting of the faucet in order to find hot water. But to NO AVAIL. I expected a hot shower before heading off to work.

A hotel has one major duty: to provide a comfortable facility for a guest to stay the night. All of the above made my experience very, very regrettable and I will not be back anytime soon.

As I have stated above, I have stayed at your facility numerous times over the years and have always been satisfied, hence I sincerely hope that you will refund my payment (minus the dinner I purchased, which was excellent as always). I also sincerely hope, for the sake of your business' future, that you will address these major issues.

Has Gone Downhill

The friendly staff somewhat compensate for the relative basic accommodation.  The furnishing and construction materials indicate that there could be a re-vamp needed.  The photos of the large house look outstanding compared to the block where we were located near the restaurant. TV could not show the sports but was 'being worked on'.  Lovely garden. The staff were great - particularly the cook and waitress.

Just OK

Very clean, nice showers, beautiful grounds, quiet.  Staff was very helpful and friendly.  Restaurant was very good, breakfast excellent and reasonably prices.  Convenient location.  Was a little tricky to find.

Great place

As soon as we got in we felt kind of at home. Very nice garden, very kind and helpful staff, a little swimming pool to have a swim and relax, nice food and cozy restaurant.
The room is just perfect: sofas, comfortable beds, clean, ... And good wifi!

It is a 10 minutes walk to town and many restaurants around.
A 3 minutes walk to the main road to take Matatus to go to the river.

A must to stay while in Naivasha!

When we arrived, everyone was professional and very helpful. The room was beautiful and clean and had no problem at anytime. One of my favorite places to stay at in Naivasha. I felt like i was really being taken care of and i could trust everyone there. The location is also great because it is a short walk to the lake.

Awesome experience

Janes is located conveniently and a short walk to the town centre. Breakfast was adequate as always. Staff very friendly and helpful 

 · I've been a guest at Janes numerous times over the past 4 -5 years. When I first stayed in 2014, everything was fresh, worked and good. 4-5 years later, the place is clearly showing the results of a lack of basic maintenance. By coincidence , I have stayed in the same apartment nearly every time and it now shows wear and tear beyond the description of the quality advertised, the internal construction of the apartments are wood with an outside brick lining, the smoke detector has been removed (critical as there is no alternative escape route from the upper floors of a wooden building), no fire extinguisher upstairs, the mirror light in the bathroom has never worked, the shower is best described as poor in terms of temperature & pressure, all sockets in the buildings are 3 pin but the appliances are 2 pins which means you can't remove a plug for another use and easily replace it, the TV has always been poor but now doesn't work at all, the mosquito net is poorly fitted, ripped and repaired with electricians tape and clearly in need of cleaning, the table cloth is ripped, the kitchen area window blinds are damage and ineffective, there was no gas for cooking and no utensils to cook and eat with and the view from the back window resembles a car and tyre scrapyard. Meanwhile, more buildings are being converted to apartments while the existing stock is deteriorating, rapidly. Overall, disappointing!!

Caveat Emptor!  Was good, now deterioriating badly!

We slept in a treehouse and it was really a cool experience. I really enjoyed the shower outside :-) We had an opportunity to talk to the owners who spent their Christmas break there and leant about the history of this place. The breakfast was delicious too.
