We booked a 2 bedroom villa and 3 bedroom villa between 6 of us, though could have slept more than double that number comfortably. The owner Daniele anticipate our needs and was responsive throughout our stay. 

Villas are spacious and clean with air com and mossie nets in all bedrooms. Large indoor and outdoor space in each villa. There are only 4 villas, so we had the refreshing pool pretty much to ourselves. 

A 5 minute walk to a stunning beach and a short taxi or tuk tuk ride further afield, where there are great restaurants, bars and a good supermarket. Local shop for pop and water nearby. 

I’d highly recommend paying for the chef. Musa shopped and cooked to order - breakfasts every day and 3 evening meals as we ate out twice. His fish curry with chapati is without a doubt the best thing we ate in our 2 week Kenya trip, and, as brits, his chips were the best too. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return.

Loved this place.

We spent 8 days at Baobab Village in Watamu after a 3-day safari. So I'm trying to explain the title of the review. We spent the first 5 days in the Simba 2 bungalow and the judgement can only be positive: the setting is charming, a large local style bungalow, a pool available for the 4 bungalows, spacious and functional bathrooms, very well-groomed local style furnishings (except for the kitchen which might need a little renovation..). So the local manager, Abraham, who runs the house on behalf of the Italian is one of the most cordial, sunny and available people you can meet!

Experience with light and shadow

I booked Baobab Village Watamu for 5 days family stay well in advance. Due to an emergency where the family could not travel as planned, I requested cancellation 1 month before the check in date. 

The facility cashed the full amount Ksh. 70,000 without option of re-using the credit in future. All means to redeem were futile. The owner was very arrogant and barred any communication supposedly after hitting this ‘jackpot’

Payment Issue

The house was really nice and clean, the available and always kind owners, two wonderful people, even the staff at work were really good, especially our cook.

I highly recommend it.

It’s a wow place. The villa was exquisite and we enjoyed our stay there. It’s so beautiful there, the plants, trees and decorations. The staff was friendly and attentive, we even had a massage. I would definitely go back there.

Nothing to add to the previous reviews, except that Daniel (the owner of the house) is a really kind person and present (telephone) the wonderful staff... in short all SUPER December 2019 we are back.

This villa is immersed in a fantastic setting, rich in coconut palms. A monkey would come to greet us from time to time! The photos of this wonderful house do not do her justice. Live is 100 times better! The seawater pool is beautiful, always clean. Always present at the gate, the possibility of laundry. We asked for the private cook and we made the best choice of the holiday!!! Erasmus spoiled us with typical and Italian dishes. He prepared a cake for my son's birthday. Always available, breakfast, lunch and dinner! Clean and courteous. It was a pleasure to have him with us. I recommend this solution to anyone who wants to visit Watamu and Kenya and to those who do not love village life. Top!

Amazing place

Villa with stunning swimming pool! Clean and well maintained in every detail!! 3 bedrooms 3 giant bathrooms kitchen, living room and super cozy veranda....beautiful...beautiful. Always present, kind and ready to fulfill any request. A special mention to the cook Giulias: he cooked us every morning and every evening, with delicious dishes!!! On foot you reach one of the most beautiful beaches in Watamu and with tuktuks you get everywhere: bank, supermarket, small restaurants where to eat... Really a great stay!!!
