We stayed with 5 Persons in the family apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel is good. The whole complex is very beatiful. We had a very good time there and could relax.
Thank you for the nice stay. We will come again.

Great Place To Stay

Very lovely area. Rooms were comfy and the beach is nice.  We’ve been there in April and it was still too early to swim in the lake, but the hotel has a pool so we could swim in it every day.  Overall a great experience!

Great vacation

The best place to be during summer. I visit it every year since they started it. During winter time I visit their facility at the Karakol ski resort. Both are a "Must" of you are in the Kyrgyz Republic.

My favourite summer resort

The hotel was very nice.  We got there too late to enjoy being down by the water by the lake. The hotel is nicely constructed and modern.  The landscaping was absolutely beautiful.  This seems to be a place where locals come and spent several days or a week not, one night like we did.  We noticed the staff did not seem too interested in serving.  This was especially true at breakfast.  It appears they had temporary workers who were just there a few weeks a year and had to do a job...  Other than that, it was a great place!!

A beautiful property.

This is a five-story hotel with no elevator, so try to get a room on the first floor, although you don’t get a lake view until the third floor, because the hotel is fairly far from the lake. Between the hotel and the lake there is a whole community of single-family residences which we presume are vacation homes and/or timeshares.  They look nice and have well-kept gardens with lots of trees.  The hotel rooms are furnished very sparsely, not lovely at all.  There was no a la carte restaurant when we visited, which was slightly before peak season.  In fact lots of repairs were going on, which interfered with guests’ enjoyment of the installations.  At one point our entire wing was left without water with no previous advice; it was restored a couple of hours later. We ate lunch and dinner out to avoid the dreaded buffet meals.  The breakfast buffet was OK. 

Not really for international tourists

Very good location, beautiful gardens and that's all. We specifically booked a room in the ground floor because we can't climb aver the stairs. Bad attitude at the reception.They gave us a room in the fourth floor. "there are no elevators". We are elderly people and they expected that we climb to the forth floor with our luggage! We refuse, and needed to add money to get a cottage, that has a very poor maintenance. It's a pity, because the place has big potential.  Breakfast and dinner were OK.

Poor management

We were looking forward to our hotel stay by the lake but were disappointed in several ways. The room was basic but OK but we had to carry our luggage up a lot of stairs to reach our room (314). There is quite a long walk from the hotel to the lake past rental properties. The pool was closed but you could bathe in the lake. There was a shop on site. Our biggest disappointment was with the restaurant. We had to wait in a long queue for our buffet dinner and it was like a rugby scrum as people were pushing in to reach dishes which were of very poor quality. I went to the bar and asked for a beer and they said they only had 'Bud' but tried to sell me an expensive bottle of wine instead. Breakfast was even worse, again with lots of people trying to serve from quite a small buffet table area. The buffet quickly ran out of dishes and we had to wait for replacements. Overall not a pleasant stay.

Room OK, restaurant poor

Stayed one night on a tour of the 5 Stans. Looking forward to the ambiance and beauty of Lake Issyk Kul. Lake was there but this very large complex with many people only good for the beach and family activities. Room was on the first floor up steps from the rear parking lot in the building that has four floors and no elevators. Room was tired, worn. Beds and mattresses should have been retired years ago; mattresses lumpy and  sagged in the middle (note the picture). No AC and no screens on the door or windows; bugs entered if they were open. Food poor to average for the breakfast and evening buffets. Favored items ran out and not replaced, at least not when I was there. Bar staff and dining room personnel OK. Accommodations in 2-story buildings closer to the lake appeared suitable for families and were newer, better maintained. These building had space for cars to be parked next to the buildings.

Has to be Better Lodging in the Area, Stay Elsewhere

This has the potential to be very good. The hotel is in a lovely setting. The room was clean.
It really only takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the lakeside beach, The walk is pleasant.
There were too many negatives though to rate it more highly,
Firstly, there are no lifts. That was ok for us (we were on 4th Floor). As previously mentioned by other reviewers, make sure you have a lower floor if this is a problem.
The rooms overlook the garden and restaurant. At here is no air conditioning and since we were hot, we opened the window but were disturbed by the disco and noisy people leaving.
We only had a handheld shower attachment (not a shower). The water was either scalding hot or cold. We tried filling the bath but the bath tap did not work. We ended up filling it with the shower attachment and cooling it as best we could.
The toilet cistern needed adjustment as the water trickled all night.

There was a kettle which was useful. However, no bottled water which is a shame as we cannot drink the tap water.
Buffet breakfast was mediocre. No cold milk available(no problem elsewhere).

Reception is in a central block away from the rooms. The staff were admittedly busy bit there was no attempt to engage with customers.

So overall, one to be missed unless you particularly want to be near this side of the lake.
