There are two hostels in Bishkek with confusingly similar names, and I guess under the same ownership. But the similarities seem to end there, because the other one gets mixed and even negative reviews, and this one - City Centre -  overwhelmingly positive, and deservedly so. The location is perfect, staff are wonderfully helpful and pleasant (and speak English in addition to several other languages). I stayed (alone) in a single room, but there's the kitchen and commonroom for socialising. There's a hot breakfast (porridge and eggs, in addition to bread, tomatoes, and cucumbers) every morning. They let me leave my stuff here when I went off for a few days, which was greatly appreciated, as was the clothes washing service (for a small fee).  It's true there's only two toilets, which are thankfully separate from the two showers, but as I was here in the off season it wasn't at full occupancy so this wasn't a problem.  But the staff (Asel and Begeyeen) and pure wonderful. Warm thanks!

"Interhouse City Centre" not to be confused with "Interhouse"!

Cozy atmosphere, very good location near attractions, parks, restaurants. There is plenty of parking space on the street if you're driving. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. I stayed in a 4-bed room and it was very clean, bathroom as well.

Great place

Nice and cheap option in central  Bishkek. Not far from main turist attractions, nice cafes are very close. Staff is very friendly and helpful, wifi works good, everything clean, good breakfast. You can also get discount card for some pubs or cafes in Bishkek. I enjoyed my stay there and would definiately recommend it to anyone. 

Nice hostel to stay in the city center

To say upfront: the service there deserves five stars. The reception lady loves her job and helps a lot. Big thumps up! The place seems comfy and they offered me a whole room for myself. Just two things bothered me: its not so easy to find the building as it’s a bit bidden. Second: Noise is an issue, every time a guest comes he has to ring and the doorbell is very loud which makes you hear in your room every time. If you can handle that, its your place to stay…

Mixed feelings!

So I usually stay in hostels to grab the great atmosphere of fellow travellers around.
There is no such thing in this hostel, the common area is basically used by the staff to sort out laundry and there is no other patio or whatever to hangout at.

So whenever you’re at “home” you’re in your bed.

Breakfast is a joke, basically just cookies and old bread with jam - Kyrgyzstan has treated me so much better wherever I went before!

Also the staff is not very helpful. OK English, but if you have questions about travels or where to find something in town (e.g. postcards I’m my case) they won’t have a clue.

Don’t go here.

A private room for $25/nt?

Given the room does not have aircon and does not have a private bath, this is the most expensive room I have stayed in over the past year+ of traveling around the world.
